## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Senior Architectural Project Manager / Job Captain** to support high-end retail and commercial renovation projects for a New York City architecture firm.

This position combines hands-on architectural production with project management and construction administration. You will help move projects from construction documentation through construction, coordinating with consultants and contractors, resolving technical questions, and maintaining clear, accurate project documentation.

The ideal candidate brings **direct experience working on U.S. architectural projects**, advanced proficiency in **Revit or AutoCAD**, and strong experience supporting projects during construction. You should be comfortable independently producing detailed drawings, reviewing contractor submissions, and following technical issues through resolution.

Experience with high-end retail, custom façades, specialty finishes, and complex architectural detailing is particularly valuable.

## Responsibilities

-   Manage architectural deliverables, project priorities, and coordination with internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
-   Produce and review construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and architectural details.
-   Review submittals, shop drawings, and product information for consistency with project documents and design intent.
-   Prepare and coordinate RFI responses, resolve construction questions, and develop supplemental drawings or clarifications as needed.
-   Track submittals, RFIs, revisions, and outstanding construction issues using Procore or other project management tools.
-   Develop details for façades, custom architectural elements, specialty finishes, and complex renovation conditions.
-   Coordinate architectural documentation with existing-building conditions, structural components, and other building systems.
-   Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and applicable U.S. code requirements, including accessibility and egress.

## Requirements

-   Substantial experience as a Project Architect, Architectural Project Manager, Job Captain, or similar role.
-   **Direct experience working on U.S. architectural projects.**
-   **Advanced Revit or AutoCAD proficiency** and strong hands-on construction documentation skills.
-   Strong construction administration experience, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and contractor coordination.
-   Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to independently manage priorities and follow through on outstanding items.
-   Experience with **retail or commercial renovations**, including adapting existing spaces and coordinating materials and finishes.
-   Strong architectural detailing skills and an understanding of construction methods and structural coordination.
-   Familiarity with U.S. building codes, ADA accessibility, and egress requirements.
-   Excellent written and spoken English and confidence communicating with U.S. project teams.
-   Availability for full-time remote work with overlap during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

## Preferred Qualifications

-   Experience with luxury retail, flagship stores, branded commercial spaces, or high-end restaurants.
-   Experience detailing custom façades, specialty exterior finishes, and unique architectural features.
-   Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD.
-   Hands-on Procore experience.
