## Description

### About us

Pickle is a talent partner for fast-growing businesses. We help ambitious founders and leadership teams hire exceptional people across operations, product, technology, customer success, commercial, finance, and executive leadership.

We specialise in identifying high-quality permanent and contractor talent that can make an immediate impact, supporting businesses through key growth stages with a thoughtful, consultative approach to hiring. Whether it's a critical leadership appointment or building out an entire function, we work as an extension of our clients' teams to find people who combine the right skills, mindset, and cultural fit.

We believe great hiring goes beyond matching CVs to job descriptions. It's about understanding how businesses operate, what success looks like, and connecting them with people who will help them grow for the long term.

**Contract:** Full-time hours

### The Opportunity

Revenue, Reporting & DAF Operations · Aevum group, Shamaazi focus · Fully remote, full-time

The role

This role makes sure every donation raised on our platforms is reported accurately, reconciled to the penny and carried cleanly through to the charity it was meant for. You will own the operational engine behind campaign reporting, donor-advised fund (DAF) administration, Gift Aid data, tax receipts and charity onboarding admin.

Shamaazi builds and operates the technology behind MyTenNights, MyTenDays, MyFridays, MyFajr and GiveMatch, which together have facilitated millions in donations across a global network of charities and donors. Shamaazi sits within the Aevum group, alongside sister businesses that share the same donation, reporting and DAF infrastructure.

Donations on our platforms are held by donor-advised fund (DAF) partners, who then aim to grant them to the charities donors chose. We run the platforms and the data. This role makes sure the reporting and figures behind every grant are right, so charities receive the correct amount on time.

Most of your time will be spent on Shamaazi. You will also support equivalent reporting, reconciliation and DAF operations for other group entities as priorities require. You will report to the Head of Commercial & Partnerships with a dotted line to the Head of Operations due to cross functional projects and workstreams.

What you will own

Campaign reporting

You make sure we know what reporting each campaign needs before it launches, monitor the data while it runs, and produce accurate reports for our partners and charities once it closes.

Reconciliation

You check that donations, payment records and partner records all match, and investigate and resolve anything that does not.

Donor-advised fund operations

You prepare the figures and information our DAF partners need to make grants, track each grant through to payment, and keep charities informed about what they will receive and when.

Gift Aid and tax receipts

You prepare UK Gift Aid data so it is ready for submission, and manage donor tax receipts for our international campaigns to each country's deadlines.

Charity onboarding

You handle the admin that gets new charities live: collecting documents, completing initial checks and making sure they are set up to fundraise.

Process improvement

You keep our trackers and processes accurate and documented, and improve them after every campaign so the next one runs more smoothly.

Payment disputes

You manage payment disputes, ensuring cases are reviewed and responded to within deadlines, appropriate evidence is submitted, and outcomes are tracked.

What success looks like

- Every campaign has its reporting requirements agreed and logged before launch.
- Final reports reach DAF partners and charities within the agreed cycle, first time, without rework.
- Donations, Stripe payouts and DAF records reconcile, with every exception explained and closed.
- DAF partners receive complete submission packs and can approve grants without chasing for information.
- Charities know what they are receiving and when, and queries are answered before they become escalations.
- Gift Aid files and tax receipts are delivered on or before every regional deadline.
- The trackers, logs and SOPs are current enough that anyone in the team could pick up the process.

How performance is measured

Core focus: accuracy, timeliness and completeness. Volume of activity matters, but it is an input, not the measure of success.

- Reports delivered on time and accurate first time.
- Donations and payments fully reconciled, with any issues resolved quickly.
- Grants tracked through to payment without delays caused by missing information.
- Gift Aid and tax receipt deadlines met.
- New charities onboarded within target timeframes.
- Processes documented and up to date.

## Requirements

The person

You have run reporting, reconciliation or payments operations where accuracy genuinely mattered, and you take pride in numbers that tie out. You like owning a process end to end and making it better each time it runs.

### You are:

- Accurate: you check your own work before anyone else has to, and you notice when a figure does not look right.
- Reliable: deadlines are commitments. You deliver on time, and when something will slip you say so early.
- Structured: you work from checklists, logs and trackers, and you leave an audit trail others can follow.
- Proactive: you chase what is outstanding, raise blockers without being asked and escalate at the right moment.
- Clear communicator: you explain amounts, timelines and requirements to charities and partners in plain language.
- Data-confident: you are comfortable working in large datasets and querying a database to answer your own questions.
- High ownership: you treat the process as yours, including the parts that depend on other teams.

Essential

- At least 2-3 years in revenue operations, finance operations, payments operations, grants administration or a similar data-heavy operational role.
- Strong spreadsheet skills, including lookups, pivots and reconciling large datasets.
- Experience reconciling transactions against payment processor or bank records.
- Experience producing recurring reports for external stakeholders to a deadline.
- Excellent written English and confidence communicating with external partners.
- Ability to work reliably during UK core hours, with extra availability around peak campaign periods.

Highly desirable

- Working knowledge of SQL, or experience with a BI tool such as Metabase.
- Experience with Stripe or another online payments platform.
- Experience in the charity or fundraising sector, especially with UK Gift Aid, donor-advised funds or grant-making.
- Understanding of Ramadan and seasonal giving, including Zakat and Sadaqah and how they shape fundraising cycles.
- Experience with Notion, Linear or similar workflow and ticketing tools.

Particularly exciting if you can evidence

- A reconciliation or reporting process you inherited in poor shape and left accurate and documented.
- An error you caught before it reached a partner, and the check you then built so it could not recur.
- A process you automated or simplified that saved meaningful time each cycle.

What this role is not

- Not a charity relationship role. Our Customer Success team owns charity partnerships.
- Not a sales or commercial role. You provide the data, not the deals.
- Not an accounting role. You own operational reporting and reconciliation, not the company accounts.
- Not a process you simply follow. You are expected to improve it.

**Location and working hours**

This is a fully remote role and open to candidates outside the UK. You will need a working day that overlaps substantially with UK core hours, as most of our team, partners and charities work to UK time.

Workload peaks around our major campaigns, particularly during and after Ramadan and Dhul Hijjah. Some flexibility on hours during those periods is part of the role.

**Reporting and working relationships**

You will report to the Head of Commercial & Partnerships. You will work closely with:

- Operations on reporting, reconciliation and revenue matters
- Customer Success on charity onboarding, activation and partner queries.
- Engineering on report generation, data exports, Metabase queries and reporting tickets.
- Product on product changes that affect donation flows or reporting logic.
- Campaign Leads on pre-campaign reporting requirements.
- DAF partners on submissions, approvals, payouts, Gift Aid and tax receipts.
- Group entities on shared reporting and revenue data.

**Working environment and expectations**

We are a remote-first team. We focus on trust, flexibility and high performance, with core hours for collaboration.

We are also a small, fast-moving team. Priorities can change quickly, information is not always complete and there will be periods where the pace and workload are demanding, particularly around peak campaign seasons. You will have significant autonomy, but that comes with accountability for outcomes.

**You need to thrive on:**

- Ambiguity: making sensible decisions with incomplete information, getting moving and surfacing important uncertainties as you go.
- Working under pressure: prioritising ruthlessly, making sensible trade-offs and maintaining good judgement when several things are happening at once.
- Change: adapting quickly when priorities shift, without unnecessary friction or losing sight of the outcome.
- Setbacks: responding constructively when things go wrong, looking for patterns, adjusting your approach and continuing to move forward.
- Direct feedback: listening, challenging constructively and being willing to change your approach when the evidence supports it.
- Accountability: making risks, blockers and trade-offs visible early rather than allowing problems to become someone else's surprise.
- Ownership: focusing on what you can do to improve the overall outcome, even when the problem is not entirely within your control.

We do not expect everything to go perfectly. We do expect you to remain calm, constructive and effective when it does not.

This is not an environment where everything will be neatly defined or where someone else will always pick up the difficult bits. We are looking for people who become more useful when the work gets harder.

That does not mean working unsustainably or treating exhaustion as a virtue. For us, durability means maintaining good judgement, ownership and constructive behaviour when the circumstances are not ideal.
