## Description

Forklift Operator – Manufacturing Facility

Location: Sterling Heights, MI (18 1/2 Mile Road)

Available Shifts:

-   1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
-   2nd Shift: 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Position Overview:  
We are currently hiring Forklift Operators to support daily plant and warehouse operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for safely operating propane-powered forklifts to move materials, load shipments, and support production flow throughout the facility.

## Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

-   Safely operate propane-powered forklifts in accordance with all company safety procedures
-   Unload materials and supplies needed for daily production operations
-   Move palletized and bagged materials from conveyor systems to designated storage areas
-   Load flatbed and box trucks using portable loading ramps or ground-level loading methods
-   Perform daily forklift inspections and basic equipment maintenance
-   Transport pallets and materials accurately throughout the facility
-   Install and replenish consumable materials including stretch wrap, labels, pallets, top sheets, bottom sheets, and bagging film rolls
-   Follow shipping instructions and ensure accurate order fulfillment
-   Stack, organize, and secure pallets safely within storage areas
-   Lift and place divider boards between pallet layers when stacking products
-   Inspect materials and bagged products for quality concerns or damage
-   Replace propane tanks or refuel equipment as needed
-   Maintain accurate production and material handling records
-   Communicate any safety, quality, or operational concerns to supervisors promptly
-   Follow all standard operating procedures and workplace safety guidelines

Requirements:

-   Previous forklift experience preferred
-   Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment
-   Strong attention to detail and safety procedures
-   Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic required
-   Ability to lift, move, and stack materials throughout the shift
-   Must provide two forms of identification
-   Must pass a urine drug screening
-   Must pass a national background check
