## Description

### What is your mission?

We are looking for a highly organised **Freight Broker** to facilitate the transportation of goods by coordinating shippers, carriers, dispatch operations, and shipment tracking activities. This role is responsible for freight brokerage, carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, load dispatching, shipment monitoring, customer communication, and ensuring timely pickups and deliveries from start to finish.

**You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:**

-   Act as the primary liaison between shippers, carriers, drivers, and customers to coordinate transportation activities
-   Source and qualify carriers to support freight movement and transportation requirements
-   Negotiate freight rates and transportation agreements with carriers
-   Coordinate and assign loads to drivers and transportation providers
-   Prepare and distribute shipping documentation required for pickups and deliveries
-   Monitor shipments from pickup through final delivery and provide status updates to customers and internal stakeholders
-   Track freight movements using transportation tracking systems and logistics tools
-   Ensure accurate and timely updates are entered into company systems regarding shipment status, pickups, deliveries, and exceptions
-   Respond to customer, carrier, and driver inquiries regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and transportation concerns
-   Escalate operational issues and coordinate with management when additional assistance is required
-   Support daily dispatch operations to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
-   Maintain accurate shipment records, load information, and transportation documentation
-   Assist with handover processes between shifts to ensure uninterrupted shipment monitoring and customer service
-   Resolve transportation issues and support service recovery efforts when delays or disruptions occur
-   Contribute to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring proactive communication and follow-through

## Requirements

### Who are we looking for?

-   High school diploma, vocational certification, or college education preferred
-   Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in freight brokerage, trucking operations, dispatch coordination, logistics, or transportation-related roles
-   Experience within the trucking, freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics industry
-   Strong knowledge of trucking operations, freight transportation processes, carrier management, and shipment coordination
-   Experience coordinating pickups, deliveries, dispatch activities, and shipment tracking
-   Familiarity with transportation documentation, freight workflows, and carrier communication processes
-   Proficiency in logistics systems, shipment tracking platforms, and standard business applications
-   Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with a clear and professional phone presence
-   Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and drivers
-   Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously
-   Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in fast-paced situations
-   High attention to detail, strong time-management abilities, and commitment to accuracy
-   Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
