## Description

A Senior Software Engineer specializing in BigCommerce at Creative Chaos will play a vital role in developing, enhancing, and maintaining e-commerce platforms powered by BigCommerce. This position requires a blend of strong technical skills, e-commerce knowledge, and a passion for providing excellent user experiences. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to implement innovative solutions tailored for online retail.

**Job Responsibilities:**

-   Develop and maintain web applications using the BigCommerce platform
-   Integrate third-party services and create custom applications as needed
-   Analyze client requirements and provide effective solutions
-   Collaborate with design teams to improve user interface and experience
-   Implement robust, scalable, and secure code
-   Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
-   Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to industry standards
-   Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative team environment
-   Stay updated with the latest BigCommerce features and industry trends
-   Participate in sprint planning and agile development processes

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
-   4+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on BigCommerce
-   Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
-   Experience with server-side programming in PHP or Node.js
-   Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
-   Knowledge of e-commerce best practices and trends
-   Experience with version control systems, such as Git
-   Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-   Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
-   Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA)
