## Description

Parallel Employment Group working with one of our customer in Lancaster NY for a Facilities Custodian who can assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning workplace for all employees and visitors. We’re looking for a dedicated **Facilities Custodian** to join our team on 2nd shift to support this mission through thorough cleaning, upkeep, and facility support across our buildings and grounds.

**Job Title: Facilities Custodian – 2nd Shift**

**Schedule:** 2nd Shift 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

**Compensation:** $21.00 – $26.00 per hour depending on experience

**Qualifications:**

-   Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
-   Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
-   Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
-   Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
-   Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
-   Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, as needed

## Requirements

-   Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in offices, production areas, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
-   Clean, disinfect, and sanitize high-touch surfaces and equipment according to health and safety protocols.
-   Empty trash and recycling bins; manage proper waste disposal per safety and environmental regulations.
-   Maintain building exteriors and grounds, including light outdoor cleaning and trash removal.
-   Restock and monitor cleaning and hygiene supplies throughout the facilities.
-   Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting maintenance issues.
-   Support the preventive maintenance program in collaboration with the maintenance team.
-   Operate and maintain push or ride-on floor scrubbers in high-traffic areas.
-   Contribute to snow removal and sidewalk salting duties as needed for 2nd shift.
-   Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements in compliance with the
-   Report safety hazards or quality concerns promptly to the supervisor.
