Built by the Y Combinator-backed founding team behind Karbon Card—a fintech trusted by over 2,000 businesses—we are on a true 0 to 1 journey to redefine restaurant accounting. With our solution already live and delivering significant ROI, we are building a genuine lifeline for small business owners.

**Job Summary**

KoreFi is hiring an **Accountant** to manage full-cycle bookkeeping, complex 3PD/merchant reconciliations, and month-end close for US restaurant clients in QuickBooks Online. Additionally, you will document workflows and edge cases with our product team to turn repetitive accounting processes into automated tooling.

**Where you will create Impact**

·       Own full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end close for multiple restaurant clients in QuickBooks Online.

·       Run bank, merchant, and third-party delivery reconciliation — tying platform payouts to gross sales, commissions, marketing fees, chargebacks, and adjustments across POS, 3PD, and bank.

·       Manage expense categorization, and journal entries with clean, tie-to-the-cent accuracy.

·       Serve as a point of contact for client accounting questions and communication.

·       Document your reconciliation workflows clearly enough to be automated.

·       Partner with the product team to identify repetitive, rule-based steps and edge cases we can build into tooling.

## Requirements

**Must-have Skills**

·       3+ years of US accounting experience, full-cycle bookkeeping through month-end close.

·       Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency — chart of accounts, bank/credit card feeds, journal entries, class/location tracking across multiple client books.

·       Solid grasp of US GAAP fundamentals: accrual accounting, revenue recognition, matching.

·       Restaurant or hospitality accounting — daily sales journal entries, tips/gratuity, food and labor cost tracking, prime cost, 3PD platform (DoorDash, Uber Eats) reconciliation.

·       Bank and merchant reconciliation in high-volume, multi-account environments.

·       Reconciliation discipline and strong attention to detail.

·       POS-to-accounting reconciliation (Toast, Square, Clover) integrated with QBO.

·       Process-minded — you can document a workflow clearly enough for someone to automate it.

·       Comfortable with ambiguity and building process from scratch in an early-stage environment.

·       Curious about tooling rather than attached to manual process.

**Good-to-have Skills**

·      Experience working in an early-stage startup or tech-enabled accounting services company.

·      Familiarity with DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub merchant portals and clearing reconciliation.

·      Exposure to AI-powered accounting software or automated reconciliation tools.
