## Description

**Asia's leading robotics solutions provider,** automating enterprise supply chains since 2017. We build syncOS — the industry-first no-code platform that lets manufacturers and warehouse operators integrate, reprogram, and scale automation systems without halting production or calling in specialists. Our autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) run 24/7 for global brands like Ford, Coca-Cola, and Kimberly-Clark — transforming production lines in hours, not weeks.

We started as roboticists ourselves. We know the pain of fragmented, proprietary systems that refuse to talk to each other. syncOS is our answer — and we believe it's what the industry has been waiting for. We are a young, passionate team chasing one big mission: #automateasia. If you love robots, hate inefficiency, and want to build solutions that run on real factory floors — read on.

As Botsync scales syncOS across a growing base of deployments, this role leads the backend engineering behind syncOS's integration platform — owning architecture, driving delivery, and growing the team building the software that connects syncOS to automation equipment worldwide.
**
Key Responsibilities:**

- Own the architecture and scalability of syncOS's integration platform, including the core services, APIs, and data layer that connect syncOS to automation equipment on the shop floor
- Design and guide the implementation of integration modules and services in Python and C++, using industrial and web protocols (REST APIs, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, Websockets, CAN, TCP/IP)
- Drive the technical roadmap for sync templates and integration frameworks that let the team and customers deploy new machine-to-machine and machine-to-software integrations faster
- Set and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, and system reliability across the integrations codebase
- Expand syncOS integration coverage into new vendor categories, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and sensor OEMs, alongside existing AMR/AGV and fleet manager integrations
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of integration and backend engineers, setting technical direction and supporting their career development
- Own hiring, performance management, and resourcing for the integrations engineering te
- Partner with engineering leadership to plan roadmap, prioritize technical debt, and balance delivery against long-term platform health
- Participate in cross-functional architecture decisions, and collaborate with engineering, customer success, and deployment teams to ensure successful syncOS deployments

## Requirements

- Strong backend software engineering background, with deep proficiency in Python and C++
- Experience architecting and scaling backend services, APIs, or platforms in production
- Hands-on experience with industrial and web integration protocols such as REST APIs, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, Websockets, CAN, and TCP/IP
- Prior experience leading or managing a software engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management
- Experience integrating robotics or automation equipment (AMRs, AGVs, or similar) with fleet management or orchestration software
- Bonus: experience integrating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or sensor OEM platforms
- Bonus: working proficiency in Golang, alongside Python and C++

## Benefits

- Competitive salary
- Comprehensive health benefits package
- Hustle of a young startup, always something to do and something to improve
- Opportunities for professional development and growth into management roles
- Collaborative and inclusive work environment
