## Description

### Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced **AI Developer** to design and build **AI agents, Generative AI solutions, and intelligent automation systems** that support advanced manufacturing and complex technical processes.

This role involves working closely with **PhD-level domain experts and technical specialists** to understand scientific and industrial challenges, map complex workflows, and transform domain knowledge into scalable AI-driven solutions using the **Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem**.

The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in **Python**, hands-on experience with **LLM-based applications, RAG pipelines, AI agents, and Azure AI services**, along with the ability to bridge the gap between technical domain expertise and AI engineering.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Design, develop, and deploy **AI agents and end-to-end Generative AI solutions** for complex manufacturing and technical use cases.
-   Collaborate with domain experts, engineers, and researchers to understand business/scientific challenges and translate them into AI-driven solutions.
-   Analyze, document, and map complex technical processes into structured AI workflows and intelligent automation systems.
-   Build and integrate solutions using **Azure AI services**, including:

-   Azure OpenAI Service
-   Azure AI Foundry
-   Azure Machine Learning
-   Azure Cognitive Services

-   Develop **LLM-powered applications**, including:

-   Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
-   AI agents
-   Tool-calling workflows
-   Knowledge-based automation systems

-   Design prompt engineering strategies and optimize AI model performance.
-   Develop orchestration workflows using AI frameworks and agent-based architectures.
-   Deploy, monitor, maintain, and optimize AI solutions in production environments.
-   Implement security, governance, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
-   Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams for AI solution deployment and lifecycle management.

### Required Skills & Experience

-   Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field**.
-   Strong programming experience in **Python**.
-   Hands-on experience with **Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem**, including:

-   Azure OpenAI
-   Azure AI Foundry / Azure Machine Learning
-   Azure Cognitive Services

-   Experience building **Generative AI applications using Large Language Models (LLMs)**.
-   Practical experience developing:

-   AI Agents
-   RAG-based applications
-   LLM workflows
-   AI-powered automation solutions

-   Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning workflows, and NLP technologies.
-   Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as:

-   LangChain
-   Microsoft Semantic Kernel
-   Similar agent orchestration frameworks

-   Ability to collaborate with technical experts and convert complex domain knowledge into AI solutions.
-   Strong analytical skills with experience in process mapping and workflow optimization.
-   Understanding of MLOps concepts and AI model deployment practices.
