## Description

We are looking for a Primary School Teacher for an international school based in Shanghai. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year starting in August 2026.

About the School

This private K to 12 bilingual school in Minhang District, Shanghai is part of a larger education group and is led by a team of both international and Chinese educators, focused on developing globally minded students and helping them reach their potential. The school offers a bilingual, integrated curriculum across all stages, including IB in primary, a blended programme in middle school, and IGCSE and A Level pathways in high school. It is also an IB Primary Years Programme candidate and is working toward full IB authorization.

Job details

-   Serve as the homeroom teacher for a primary class, delivering the core curriculum (such as English, Maths, and Science) and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
-   Prepare lessons and learning resources, apply effective teaching strategies, and design and mark assessments as well as write report comments
-   Take responsibility for the daily care, wellbeing, and classroom management of your homeroom students, fostering a positive and inclusive class community
-   Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
-   Assess and monitor students' progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
-   Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers, and act as their main point of contact
-   Develop supportive and safe learning environments

## Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in related field
-   Minimum 2 years of full-time working experience in bilingual setting 
-   Experience with PYP is a plus
