**English / Brazilian Portuguese- Localization Video Game QA Tester**

**São Paulo, Brazil.**

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

### Translation and Localization

-   Translate content from English into Brazilian Portuguese while maintaining accuracy, consistency, tone, and cultural appropriateness.
-   Ensure translations comply with client-specific linguistic guidelines, glossaries, style guides, and terminology requirements.
-   Adapt content to the target market while preserving the original intent and context.
-   Perform ad hoc translation tasks as needed.

### Linguistic Review and Quality Assurance

-   Proofread and identify linguistic, grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and terminology issues in Brazilian Portuguese content.
-   Review localized game content to ensure linguistic quality and consistency.
-   Verify compliance with console manufacturer and platform-specific guidelines.
-   Ensure all content meets established quality standards before delivery.

### Testing and Feedback

-   Identify and report linguistic bugs, missing text, truncations, display issues, and other localization-related defects.
-   Write clear and detailed bug reports to support issue resolution.
-   Provide constructive feedback on localization quality and user experience.
-   Validate corrections and verify that reported issues have been properly addressed.

### Operational Support

-   Collaborate with Translation Leads, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
-   Follow established workflows and best practices for localization projects.
-   Contribute to the maintenance of translation memories, glossaries, and linguistic assets.
-   Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing feedback and recommendations.

### Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
-   2+ years of experience in translation, localization, linguistic quality assurance, or a related language-focused role.
-   Native-level proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese.
-   Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English.
-   Strong understanding of Brazilian culture and language nuances.
-   Experience translating and reviewing content from English into Brazilian Portuguese.
-   Familiarity with CAT tools such as Trados Studio, MemoQ, XTM, or similar platforms.
-   Knowledge of localization workflows, terminology management, and quality assurance practices.
-   Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
-   Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
-   Experience using multiple software applications and online platforms.
-   Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-   Experience in video game localization, LQA (Localization Quality Assurance), or gaming industry projects is a plus.
-   Familiarity with Machine Translation (MT) and post-editing processes is a plus.
