## Description

**Job Title: Franchising and Bids Manager**

**Location**: Larbert, Scarborough or Farnborough

**Our Vision & Why It Matters**

At Alexander Dennis, our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility.

We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you’re engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.

**What You’ll Do
**As our Franchising and Bids Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting business development activities with Combined Authorities and managing tender responses for public procurement opportunities across the UK.

Working within our Commercial team and reporting to the Head of Franchising and Bids, you'll build strong customer relationships, coordinate complex bid submissions, and act as the voice of the customer throughout the tender process. You'll collaborate across multiple departments to ensure customer requirements are translated into compliant, competitive solutions while helping Alexander Dennis secure future business and strengthen our position in the marketplace.

**What We’re Looking For
**We're looking for a commercially focused professional with experience in a customer-facing sales, commercial, or bid management environment. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities whilst working to demanding deadlines.

You'll be confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including senior customer representatives, and have the ability to analyse customer requirements, prepare compelling tender responses, and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes. A proactive approach, strong commercial awareness, and a willingness to travel are essential.

**Bonus if you have:**

- Experience within the bus, transport, manufacturing, or public sector procurement sectors.
- Knowledge of Combined Authority transport operations and franchising models.
- Experience producing high-quality tender submissions for public procurement exercises.
- Technical knowledge of buses and vehicle specifications.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
