**Why you will love this opportunity as Head of Finance Operations at Civica**

The Head of Finance Operations will lead the establishment and ongoing development of a shared service style of working for Finance in India, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. The role will provide experienced operational leadership through a significant finance transition while also ensuring stable, accurate and well-controlled day-to-day finance operations. This includes creating scalable, standardised processes that improve service quality, efficiency, resilience and financial control across the finance function. This role will be central to modernising ways of working across Finance Operations, leveraging technology, automation and AI-enabled opportunities to simplify activity, improve data quality and strengthen controls. The postholder will support the integration and optimisation of NetSuite, embed consistent operating rhythms, and partner closely with leaders across the team to enable the wider finance transformation agenda.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   **Mobilise Finance Ops**: Establish scalable shared service model in India.
-   **Lead Transition**: Drive knowledge transfer, migration, and change adoption.
-   **Deliver Core Processes**: Ensure accurate billing, reconciliations, and month-end close.
-   **Strengthen Controls**: Maintain audit-ready evidence and risk escalation.
-   **Partner Leadership**: Support transformation roadmap and system integration.
-   **Track KPIs**: Define service measures, SLAs, and performance standards.
-   **Build Team**: Coach and develop a high-performing operations culture.

## Requirements

**Apply if you have:**

-   Experienced finance operations leader: proven track record leading finance operations, shared services, transformation or transition activity in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
-   Strong core finance operations grounding: brings a solid understanding of transactional finance, month-end requirements, reconciliations, intercompany, master data, working capital, financial controls and the importance of accurate, timely and compliant processing.
-   Shared services expertise: understands how to design, transition and embed shared service ways of working, including process migration, service management, controls, KPIs and SLAs.
-   Change and transformation leadership: confident leading through ambiguity, influencing senior stakeholders and taking people through operational and cultural change.
-   Technology and systems mindset: strong understanding of finance systems and process enablement, with experience of ERP environments; NetSuite experience or implementation exposure would be highly advantageous.
-   Modernisation and continuous improvement: able to identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve finance processes using technology, AI-enabled tools, data and analytics.
-   Control and governance focus: strong appreciation of financial control, compliance, risk management and process discipline in an operational finance environment.
-   People leadership: able to build capability, set clear expectations, coach teams and create a high-performance culture across direct and matrix teams.
-   Commercial and stakeholder orientation: credible communicator who can translate operational change into business value and build trusted relationships across Finance, Technology and the wider business.
