## Description

**Venture 1: A B2B SaaS Lead Gen Platform, an rthmc venture backed by Birg Holdings**

**Location:** Remote (9am–12pm PST overlap)

**Type:** Independent Contractor

**About the Role**

We're looking for an experienced Growth & Brand Lead to define the brand of a B2B SaaS lead gen platform, set its marketing strategy, and lead the execution that brings both to life. This is a hands-on engagement, not an oversight one: you'll own positioning, narrative, and visual identity, set the strategy the execution runs against, and be in the tools yourself, writing the pivotal copy, shaping the creative, and building the workflows that let a small team produce work that rivals much larger organizations.

Beyond building a remarkable brand, you'll help shape an AI-first marketing function: prompting standards, knowledge systems, creative workflows, and scalable operating practices that let the team move faster without losing originality or brand integrity. If you're energized by building a brand from close to a blank page, leading and building in equal measure, and redefining what modern AI-powered marketing looks like, we'd like to talk.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Brand Foundation & Positioning**

- Define the venture's positioning, narrative, voice, and visual identity from a near-blank page.
- Make the core strategic choices: who the venture is for, what it stands for, and what it deliberately is not.
- Build and maintain a coherent brand system that every touchpoint can be built against.
- Evolve the brand as the venture matures, without over-investing in assets while things are still changing.

**Marketing Strategy & Go-to-Market**

- Own the marketing strategy: what the venture says, to whom, through which channels, and why, including a content strategy that earns attention rather than only buys it.
- Shape go-to-market storytelling for customers, partners, and the broader market.
- Prioritize where marketing effort and budget go, and defend those choices.
- Translate venture goals into a marketing plan the execution function can run against.

**Leading Marketing Execution**

- Direct the venture's marketing execution, setting priorities, standards, and the quality bar.
- Turn strategy into clear, actionable briefs and hold work to them.
- Build an AI-first marketing function, integrating AI into research, creative development, campaign planning, experimentation, and reporting.
- Develop scalable prompting standards and AI workflows that let the team consistently produce world-class work with greater speed and leverage.

**Narrative & Content**

- Own the through-line from strategy to expression across the website, pitch decks, product experiences, campaigns, and every external touchpoint.
- Own content marketing strategy, editorial direction, and content-led acquisition, directing production (human and AI) rather than producing it all personally.
- Set the standard for how the venture writes, communicates, and presents itself.
- Leverage AI to accelerate research, ideation, messaging, creative exploration, and content production while maintaining quality and brand consistency.

**Measurement**

- Define what success looks like for brand and marketing, and how it will be measured.
- Use performance data to refine strategy, not simply report on outcomes.
- Continuously test, learn, and improve marketing performance using both traditional analytics and AI-powered insights.

**Success Metrics (120-Day GTM Strategy)**

- A coherent brand system (positioning, narrative, voice, visual identity) is defined and in active use across touch points.
- A marketing strategy and prioritized channel plan is in place and being executed against.
- A working rhythm (briefs, review cadence, feedback loops) is established with the execution team.
- At least one AI-powered workflow is live and measurably improving team speed or output quality.
- Clear measurement framework in place, with performance data actively informing strategy decisions.

## Requirements

**Must-Have Experience**

- A senior track record building or fundamentally reshaping a brand, not just running campaigns inside someone else's.
- Proven experience setting marketing strategy and personally executing against it, without relying on a team to carry it out.
- Experience building structure and strategy from a near-blank page.
- Brand-building experience across multiple industries or categories.
- Strong content marketing judgment, with the ability to set editorial direction and content strategy.
- Strong fluency in growth and performance marketing, with the ability to set targets, interpret data, and evaluate execution quality.
- Deep hands-on experience with modern AI tools across research, creative, design, and content.
- Experience partnering directly with founders and operators as the primary owner of brand and marketing.
- Availability for consistent overlap during 9am–12pm PST collaboration hours.

**Highly Preferred**

- Experience within venture studios, startups, or early-stage, high-growth environments.
- Experience designing AI-first marketing systems: prompt libraries, automations, AI agents, and scalable workflows that combine AI automation with human judgment.

## Benefits

- Flexible remote structure, with core collaboration hours over PST.
- Direct, ongoing partnership with the founder rather than a layered reporting structure.
