## Description

The principal duties of the Site Engineer is to oversee and coordinate design and construction activities in conjunction with a Project Manager. The role will ensure works are delivered safely, in line with contract requirements, quality standards, and project procedures. This includes managing design, completing quality inspections, supervising subcontractors, monitoring progress and productivity, managing documentation and records, ensuring materials and site practices meet specifications, and reporting any issues, risks, or non-conformances to the project manager.

## Requirements

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Participate in ensuring activities are carried out in safe manner in accordance with the Project Safety Plan
-   Ensure construction operations are carried out in accordance with the Contract requirements using the appropriate agreed procedures
-   Accurate maintenance of Quality Management System records
-   Co-ordination and supervision of sub-contractors in the performance of the works.
-   Informing the project manager of any non-conformances or poor workmanship and completion of checks in line with the specification and ITP.
-   Ensure all materials on site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer’s recommendations, contract specification and project ITP.
-   Assist the project manager in monitoring site productivity and project reporting.
-   Monitor programme against programme.
-   Attend client meeting with the project manager.
-   Chair site meeting with subcontractors, documenting and communicating appropriate records and actions.
-   Ensure that all permits, inductions, task briefs and other documentation required to undertake works in accordance with legal, company and project requirements are in place, approved and briefed to all required persons, including subcontractors, prior to work commencing
-   Ensure all required documented outputs and records are correctly uploaded to the project document control systems
-   Compile and produce as-built records as required by the contract.

**Qualifications:**

-   Level 7 degree in construction management or engineering
-   Minimum 2 years’ experience
-   Experience with a main contractor over a full project lifecycle is an advantage.
-   Knowledge of renewable energy sector is an advantage.
