## Description

Gadge USA was established in 1993. Our company is a national packaging supply and supply-chain solutions company with an expansive distribution network. We manage packaging portfolios across multiple categories, combined with a scalable service model, which delivers packaging solutions and continuous improvement to our customers.  

We are currently recruiting a **Planning & Purchasing Specialist** reporting to our Senior Manager, Planning & Purchasing. In this role, you will support purchasing, inventory planning, vendor communication, and supply chain execution to help ensure products are ordered accurately and delivered on time to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong follow-through, clear communication, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Logistics, Finance, vendors, and internal stakeholders.   
  
  
   
**What You Will Do:**  

-   **Purchasing** 

-   Manage purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner from creation through delivery. 

-   Ensure appropriate approvals and documentation are in place prior to processing orders. 

-   Follow up with vendors on order status, delivery dates, backorders, discrepancies, and other supply-related concerns. 

-   Collaborate with Senior Specialists and Managers to identify areas for price, cost, and process improvement. 

-   Maintain vendor price lists, data files, and system information. 

-   **Planning** 

-   Review warehouse inventory reports, customer demand, usage trends, lead times, and run-out dates to support timely replenishment decisions. 

-   Collaborate closely with the Customer Experience team to adjust planning based on changes in customer demand or supply constraints. 

-   Analyze usage trends to identify opportunities to improve purchasing quantities, maximize profitability, and/or minimize surplus inventory.

## Requirements

**Must-Haves:**  

-   Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years of relevant work experience. 
-   Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. 
-   Experience in purchase order management, or related administrative roles. 
-   Prior work experience using procurement systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite. 
-   Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including working with data, formulas, filters, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and reporting tools. 
-   Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis. 
-   Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities. 
-   Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders. 
-   Knowledge of inventory management principles and forecasting techniques. 
-   Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced environment. 

**Nice-to-Haves:**  

-   Additional education in business administration or supply chain management is a plus. 
-   Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and transportation logistics. 
-   Familiarity with purchase order management systems. 
-   Prior experience with managing item pricing. 
-   Knowledge of Sage 100 ERP system.

This role will be based in our office located at 3000 Marcus Avenue, Suite 3E03, Lake Success, NY 11042. 

The salary range for this role is up to $60,000 commensurate with the candidate's experience.
