We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented **Senior SDET Engineer** with 4–7 years of experience in automation testing to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in **Java**, **Selenium**, and **test automation frameworks**, with a passion for building scalable, reliable, and maintainable quality engineering solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through robust automated testing practices. You will play a key role in designing automation strategies, improving test coverage, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation test frameworks using Java and Selenium.
-   Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
-   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
-   Identify, document, track, and verify software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
-   Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning to ensure quality is embedded from the start.
-   Continuously enhance automation frameworks for improved performance, maintainability, and reliability.
-   Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable releases.
-   Perform regression, smoke, functional, and integration testing using automated solutions.
-   Analyze test execution results and provide actionable reports and recommendations.
-   Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality engineering best practices across the team.

### Must-Have Skills

-   4–7 years of hands-on experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.
-   Strong proficiency in **Java** programming.
-   Extensive experience with **Selenium WebDriver** for web automation testing.
-   Solid understanding of **automation testing principles**, test design techniques, and framework development.
-   Experience creating reusable test scripts and maintaining automation suites.
-   Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools.
-   Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
-   Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
-   Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

### Preferred Skills

-   Experience with API testing and REST services.
-   Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
-   Knowledge of TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
-   Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
-   Understanding of performance and cross-browser testing concepts.
-   Experience working with SQL databases and writing basic queries.
-   Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms is an added advantage.
