## Description

Nation Security Services LLC is seeking highly qualified **K9 Owner-Handlers** who own and work certified Explosive Detection Canines (EDC) to support operational security across major cargo facilities, aviation hubs, and commercial ports.

In this specialized, high-consequence role, you and your working canine will deploy as a team to perform systematic detection screenings in fast-paced operational environments. We offer competitive base pay starting at **$$35/hour**.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   **Cargo & Venue Screening:** Conduct systematic, high-vigilance explosive detection sweeps across air/sea cargo facilities, logistics hubs, and corporate venues.
-   **Canine Care & Maintenance:** Maintain total 24/7 care, feeding, physical conditioning, and home housing for your working canine according to strict welfare standards.
-   **Odor Proficiency & Decoy Training:** Conduct regular odor detection drills and decoy scenarios to ensure your K9 maintains peak readiness for third-party and regulatory certifications.
-   **Logs & Compliance:** Maintain precise search logs, training records, and incident reports to remain 100% compliant with TSA, 3PK9, state, and federal guidelines.
-   **Stakeholder Interaction:** Communicate professionally with facility directors, cargo managers, and internal dispatch teams during field deployments.

## Requirements

### **Owner-Handler & K9 Requirements**

1.  **K9 Ownership:** Must personally own a certified or certifiable Explosive Detection Canine (50–90 lbs) demonstrating high environmental stability in loud, high-traffic, and crowded operational cargo environments.
2.  **K9 Health & Health Records:** Canine must be in good health and current on all required vaccinations (veterinarian records must be presented upon request).
3.  **Operational Experience:** Minimum 2+ years of EDC handler experience in military (MWD), law enforcement, or high-tier private sector contract security. _Documented 3rd Party Cargo experience and certifications (e.g., 3PK9-C) are a strong plus._
4.  **Bilingual Skills:** Fluent in English (written and spoken). **Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a plus.**
5.  **Legal & Vetting:** U.S. Citizen or National with a High School Diploma or GED. Must pass a background check, drug screen, and secure required site credentials (e.g., SIDA, TWIC).
6.  **Logistics & Equipment:** Valid Driver’s License with a clean record, a vehicle suitable for safe K9 transport, and home housing meeting strict security and climate standards.
7.  **Availability & Travel:** Willingness to work flexible, rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) and travel regionally across Florida client sites.
