We are currently seeking a **Senior HSE Lead** to provide health and safety leadership on a major mining and construction project. The HSE Lead will oversee the project health and safety team and report directly to the Construction Superintendent. This position will provide field leadership, support safety performance, coach frontline supervision, and ensure project activities are executed in accordance with applicable safety requirements and project standards.

### Responsibilities

-   Lead the project health and safety team and provide direction to HSE personnel.
-   Provide visible field safety leadership across construction activities.
-   Implement and maintain project safety management systems and processes.
-   Support incident reporting, investigation, corrective actions, and follow-up.
-   Monitor and verify critical controls and Fatality Risk Management requirements.
-   Provide safety oversight and support for contractors and subcontractors.
-   Lead and facilitate safety meetings, orientations, toolbox talks, and other safety initiatives.
-   Review and maintain safety documentation, records, reports, and compliance requirements.
-   Coach and mentor frontline supervisors and construction personnel on safe work practices.
-   Conduct field inspections, audits, and observations to identify hazards and improve safety performance.
-   Work closely with the Construction Superintendent, supervisors, contractors, and project teams to address safety risks and requirements.
-   Promote a strong safety culture and ensure continuous improvement in project health and safety performance.

### Position Details

  
**Rotation:** 15 days on / 13 days off  
**Shift:** 12-hour shifts  
**Camp & Flights:** Camp accommodations and flights to and from site are provided.

## Requirements

-   Senior-level experience in **HSE within mining, construction, or heavy industrial environments**.
-   Experience leading or supporting project health and safety teams.
-   Strong experience with **incident investigation, critical controls, and safety management systems**.
-   Experience managing contractor and subcontractor safety requirements.
-   Knowledge of **Fatality Risk Management** and field-based safety programs.
-   Strong experience providing safety leadership and coaching to frontline supervision.
-   Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-   Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
-   Strong understanding of applicable occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
