## Description

**Attentive Care** is a licensed, CHAP-accredited home health care agency dedicated to helping clients remain safe and independent in their own homes. We provide compassionate, in-home personal care and support services throughout Long Island, NY.  
  
As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing essential daily assistance and companionship.  
  
Key responsibilities include:

-   Providing one-on-one support with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal hygiene assistance
-   Offering companionship and emotional support to clients
-   Running errands and assisting with transportation as needed
-   Ensuring client safety and comfort in the home environment
-   Reporting changes in client condition to supervisors and maintaining accurate documentation

## Requirements

### Required Qualifications:

-   Current NYS Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification
-   Recent experience working for a licensed home care agency as a PCA within the past 2 years
-   Verifiable NYS PCA certification and employment history on the Home Care Registry via the Health Commerce System
-   Ability to frequently lift and/or transfer clients averaging approximately 150 lbs, with or without assistance
-   English proficiency for effective client communication
-   Authorized to work in the United States
-   At least 18 years of age
-   Reliable transportation

### Preferred Qualifications:

-   Bilingual proficiency in any additional language
