The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise SharePoint applications and solutions. The role also requires exposure to modern full-stack technologies such as **JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js**, with experience working in large enterprise environments. The candidate should be technically strong, self-driven, comfortable influencing multiple teams, and capable of communicating technical solutions effectively to senior and executive stakeholders. ## Requirements ### Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, customize, and maintain enterprise SharePoint solutions and applications. - Lead SharePoint development activities across the application lifecycle, from requirement understanding and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and support. - Develop and integrate solutions using **SharePoint, C#, SQL, CSOM, JSOM, and REST APIs**. - Design and develop SharePoint-based applications, workflows, custom components, integrations, and enterprise solutions. - Configure and administer SharePoint services and related application components. - Develop and maintain **PowerShell scripts** for SharePoint administration, automation, deployment, and operational activities. - Work with **IIS, hosting environments, Web Application Pools, service/application accounts, and account permissions**. - Collaborate with architecture, business, infrastructure, security, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions. - Ensure application and technical architecture meets enterprise engineering, security, scalability, and performance standards. - Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, technology evaluations, and architecture decisions. - Research and benchmark technologies against industry and best-in-class solutions and recommend appropriate improvements. - Ensure adherence to coding standards, secure development practices, unit testing, documentation, and engineering best practices. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, hosting, and production issues. - Work within Agile delivery teams and participate in relevant Agile ceremonies and delivery activities. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers and development teams. - Influence multiple teams through technical expertise and contribute to improving engineering productivity and effectiveness. - Take ownership of assigned initiatives and drive them independently while collaborating effectively across the organization. - Communicate technical concepts, architecture decisions, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior and executive management. ### Required Technical Skills ### SharePoint – Mandatory - Minimum **5 years of hands-on SharePoint development and design experience**. - Strong experience in **SharePoint Development**. - Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture and enterprise application development. - Hands-on experience with **SharePoint REST APIs**. - Strong development experience using: - C# - SQL - CSOM (Client-Side Object Model) - JSOM (JavaScript Object Model) - Good knowledge of **SharePoint Administration and configuration of SharePoint services**. - Experience with **PowerShell scripting**, particularly for SharePoint administration and automation. - Strong understanding of: - IIS - Web Hosting - Web Application Pools - Application/service accounts - Account permissions - SharePoint hosting and configuration ### Full Stack – Preferred / Added Advantage - Good experience with **JavaScript and/or TypeScript**. - Experience with **React.js**. - Experience with **Node.js**. - Understanding of modern full-stack application development and integration patterns. ### API & Integration - Strong understanding and hands-on experience with **REST APIs**. - Experience integrating SharePoint applications with enterprise systems and external/internal services. - Understanding of API-based application architecture and integration best practices. ### Functional / Domain Experience - Experience working within **banking, financial services, fintech, or other large enterprise environments** is preferred. - Experience working on enterprise-scale applications and technology platforms. - Understanding of enterprise security, application architecture, and technology governance. - Experience working with business and technology stakeholders in complex organizational environments. ### Engineering & Delivery Practices - Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and enterprise engineering practices. - Experience following: - Coding standards - Secure coding practices - Unit testing standards - Documentation standards - Application quality standards - Experience working in **Agile methodologies**. - Ability to contribute to technical architecture and application design decisions. - Ability to research, evaluate, and benchmark technologies against best-in-class solutions. ### Leadership & Soft Skills - Ability to influence and collaborate with multiple technical and business teams. - Strong technical communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to share deep technical knowledge and improve team productivity and effectiveness. - Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in **Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field**. - Equivalent relevant industry experience may also be considered. ### Preferred Qualification - **SharePoint Developer certification** is preferred. ### Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a **strong hands-on SharePoint engineer with 5+ years of development and design experience**, rather than a purely administrative SharePoint profile. Candidates with a combination of **SharePoint + C# + SQL + CSOM/JSOM + REST APIs + PowerShell + IIS/hosting** will be highly relevant. Exposure to **JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js** will provide an additional advantage. Experience in **banking, financial services, fintech, or large enterprise environments** is strongly preferred.
