## Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join the Farbman Group team. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for residents.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of apartment homes, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
-   Respond promptly to resident service requests and maintenance emergencies, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
-   Monitor building systems and equipment to ensure efficiency, safety, and proper operation.
-   Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services as needed.
-   Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment status, and inventory of supplies.
-   Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable housing regulations.
-   Assist with unit turns, including preparing vacant apartments for new residents.
-   Support the overall upkeep of the community, including common areas, amenities, and curb appeal.
-   Assist in managing maintenance supplies and staying within budget guidelines.

## Requirements

-   High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in maintenance, building systems, or a related field preferred.
-   3+ years of experience in residential or multifamily property maintenance preferred.
-   Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, and general apartment maintenance.
-   Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, including in occupied units.
-   Familiarity with safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and applicable housing regulations.
-   Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, team members, and vendors.
-   Good organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
-   Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations, evenings, and weekends as needed.
-   Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
