## Description

Egypt Education Platform is seeking an experienced and dynamic **Math Head of Department (HOD) for the Primary Stage** at **Madinaty Integrated Language School** for the Academic Year 2026-2027. The successful candidate will lead and inspire the mathematics department, ensuring excellence in teaching and learning across the primary years, while aligning with the British Curriculum standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Provide strategic leadership and management of the primary mathematics department.
-   Develop, review, and implement a high-quality mathematics curriculum that meets curriculum standards and promotes student achievement.
-   Support, coach, and mentor math teachers to enhance instructional practices and professional growth.
-   Monitor and analyse student progress data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
-   Lead the development and integration of innovative teaching methods and resources in mathematics.
-   Coordinate assessment schedules, moderation, and reporting for the mathematics department.
-   Organize professional development sessions related to mathematics teaching for department staff.
-   Collaborate with other academic leaders to ensure a cohesive and enriching learning environment.
-   Maintain up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments and best practices in mathematics education.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
-   Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
-   Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or head of department role, preferably within the British Curriculum.
-   Proven expertise and passion for teaching mathematics at the primary level.
-   Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
-   Ability to inspire and motivate a team of educators.
-   Familiarity with data-driven instructional practices and assessment strategies.
-   Commitment to continuous professional development and educational excellence.
-   Willingness to relocate to Cairo, Egypt if not local.
