## Description

Seeking an experienced Mandarin tutor to work virtually with a sixth-grade student who is beginning Mandarin. The ideal candidate has experience teaching children online and can make lessons highly engaging, interactive, and fun while building a strong foundation in speaking, listening, vocabulary, and basic reading/writing.

Must have prior virtual tutoring/teaching experience and be comfortable creating an exciting, age-appropriate learning experience for a middle school student.

## Requirements

Virtual sessions will take place on Tuesday or Thursday, once per week starting at 3pm or 4pm Eastern Time. Must be available to start immediately.

Fluent or native-level Mandarin proficiency

Prior experience teaching or tutoring Mandarin to children

Demonstrated experience providing virtual instruction

Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred

Ability to teach beginning Mandarin and build a strong foundational skill set

Engaging, energetic teaching style that makes language learning fun and interactive

Comfortable incorporating games, conversation, visuals, and other age-appropriate activities into virtual lessons

Reliable, professional, and consistent with scheduling and communication

## Benefits

$60-$80 depending on experience
