## Description

**Travel RN – PCU Opportunity**

-   Position: PCU Travel RN
-   Start Date: ASAP
-   Shift: Nights (6:45am– 7:15pm)
-   Duration: 13 weeks
-   Unit Details:
-   Must be okay with floating to tele/tele MS/MS. Fast paced units that need clinicians who can work independently.
-   Ratios: 3-4:1 IMCU and 5-6:1 Tele-M/S with PCT assistance.
-   Drips & stable vents
-   No vasopressors required
-   Charting: Cerner
-   Pay Package: Estimated $2,000/week (including stipend)
-   Must live 80+ miles from facility

### Responsibilities

-   Monitor and assess patient conditions in the PCU.
-   Administer medications and manage IV therapies as prescribed.
-   Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
-   Educate patients and families about health management and recovery processes.
-   Document patient care activities and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
-   Manage equipment and supplies necessary for patient care in the PCU.
-   Respond to patient emergencies and provide immediate intervention as needed.

## Requirements

-   Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice.
-   Proven experience in a critical care or PCU setting preferred.
-   Strong understanding of patient care standards and safety protocols.
-   Cerner charting
-   Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
-   Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
