## Description

The Senior Manager, Ecosystem Effectiveness is responsible for driving cross-functional and enterprise-wide initiatives across NUS Enterprise's Ecosystem Strategy and Commercialisation function.

As NUS Enterprise sharpens its focus on commercialisation outcomes, NUS Enterprise leadership is actively building the next generation of programmes while delivering on current priorities. This function sits at the centre of that effort, translating strategic direction into execution and ensuring NUS Enterprise stays ahead of trends in ecosystem building.

The scope will evolve as the function grows. The right person picks up new areas without needing a fixed brief each time, and takes things to completion.

**1\. Cross-functional initiative management**

- Support leadership discussions in the early stages of ideation, maintaining a structured approach to capturing decisions, assumptions, and next steps effectively.
- Lead cross-functional and enterprise-wide initiatives from initiation, working alongside respective teams through a joint execution phase before transitioning primary ownership to them.
- Track progress across active workstreams, flag risks early, and ensure decisions are followed through.
- Maintain a strategic view across live programmes, collaborating with respective teams on outcomes tracking, lifecycle assessment, and identifying opportunities to strengthen and evolve them over time.

**2\. Strategic initiative support**

- Develop and advance strategic workstreams on behalf of the Director, exercising independent judgment on approach and stakeholder engagement within agreed parameters.
- Conduct research and analysis to support key decisions, surfacing insights and recommendations rather than raw information.
- Represent the function in cross-functional discussions where full Director involvement is not required, ensuring alignment and continuity.

**3\. Programme and process development**

- Design and document operational processes for new and existing programmes, ensuring they are practical, scalable, and adopted by relevant teams.
- Identify where processes are breaking down and propose improvements, working with teams to implement them.

**4\. Materials and communications**

- Develop high-quality drafts of strategic decks, briefing documents, and stakeholder communications that require minimal revision.

- Ensure outputs are calibrated to the audience, whether internal leadership, government agencies, or external partners.

**5\. Stakeholder and rhythm management**

- Manage the cadence of key meetings and touchpoints across the function, ensuring they are purposeful and produce clear outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional engagements across the function and with external partners, maintaining relationships and follow-through between senior touchpoints.

**Please be informed that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.**

## Requirements

- 10 to 12 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, chief of staff, or a similar generalist role.
- Track record of operating across senior leadership and managing complex, multi-stakeholder workstreams.
- Strong organisational instincts; knows what needs tracking, what needs chasing, and what needs escalating.
- Comfortable working across ambiguity and multiple priorities simultaneously without losing grip on detail.
- Strong written communication skills; can turn a conversation or a loose brief into a clean document quickly.
- A finisher; takes things to completion and holds others to the same standard.
- Familiarity with the Singapore startup, innovation, or university ecosystem is an advantage but not required.
