## Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Revenue & Project Controller to join the Finance team. The role sits at the intersection of contracts, operations, programme execution and accounting. You own the end-to-end order-to-cash process from sales order or project initiation through execution, delivery, formal customer acceptance, invoicing, revenue recognition and correct reflection of project costs in the books.

You translate complex delivery, acceptance and project execution processes, including under IFRS 15, into clean, auditable revenue recognition and reliable project financials. This is not a transactional processing role. It requires technical accounting judgement, contract interpretation, governance, controls and business partnering across Sales, Legal, Programme Management, Production, Planning, Finance, Accounting and Accounts Receivable.

**What You’ll Do**

- Own the end-to-end order-to-cash process: order intake, delivery tracking, formal acceptance, invoicing and revenue recognition.

- Ensure revenue recognition is compliant with IFRS 15, including assessment of performance obligations, milestones, acceptance criteria, variable consideration, contract assets and liabilities, and over-time versus point-in-time recognition.

- Interpret commercial contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment before, during and after contract execution.

- Assess large, complex and long-term contracts, including contract modifications, milestone-based arrangements and customer acceptance clauses.

- Maintain auditable documentation supporting revenue recognition decisions, including signed agreements, accounting memos, performance obligation assessments, revenue schedules, delivery proof, acceptance protocols, modification analysis and management approvals.

- Implement and operate internal controls around revenue recognition, including contract review controls, approval matrices, reconciliation controls and management review controls.

- Support statutory and internal audits on revenue-related topics and defend accounting conclusions with clear, evidence-based documentation.

- Support intercompany billing, including application of markups and alignment with transfer pricing policies.

- Work closely with Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, align on outstanding items and collection status, and improve the process.

**Project Controlling**

- Track costs for development and production programmes.

- Monitor project financial performance, including actuals versus budget, cost-to-complete, margin development and variance analysis.

- Partner with programme and project managers to translate technical, operational and contractual progress into financial insight.

- Track project milestones and their link to billing, revenue recognition and cash flow.

- Prepare project financial reporting for management, including risk flags on budget overruns, delays, margin pressure or acceptance issues.

- Support project cost estimation for budgets and forecasts.

**Cross-functional process, reporting and controls**

- Act as the link between Sales, Programme Management, Production, Planning, Finance and Accounting to ensure revenue recognition keeps pace with operational reality.

- Build and maintain reporting dashboards connecting project status, contract milestones, billing, cash flow and revenue recognition.

- Improve and standardise processes and controls around order-to-cash, revenue recognition and project financials as the company scales.

- Own and execute revenue- and project-related month-end and quarter-end close activities, including revenue and cost cut-off, accruals, WIP, contract assets and liabilities, revenue schedules, project reconciliations and supporting journal entries.

- Challenge assumptions where needed and escalate appropriately when commercial preferences conflict with IFRS requirements or control expectations.

## Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, Economics or a related field.

- Professional accounting qualification preferred, such as CPA, ACCA, CA, RA or equivalent.

- At least 5 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, controlling, revenue controlling or project controlling. A lower threshold may be considered where project controlling depth and IFRS 15 exposure are strong.

- Strong hands-on experience with IFRS, particularly IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers.

- Experience with large, complex and long-term contracts, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, engineering or another project-based industry.

- Experience with project cost tracking, project accounting and translating operational progress into financial reporting.

- Strong Excel and ERP skills, ideally Microsoft Dynamics; experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar ERP systems is also relevant.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, professional judgement, attention to detail and a structured documentation mindset.

- Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

- Confidence to challenge assumptions where needed while remaining pragmatic and commercially aware.

- Team-oriented, proactive, independent and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving scale-up environment.

- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are a plus.
