**The Role**

As the Business Development Director (Ticketing), you will be the driving force behind our growth strategy, commercial pipeline, and market expansion. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Ticketing, you will lead a high-performing sales and business development team to secure new business across our premier ticketing brands, including Ticketek, Memberships, and Eventfinda.

You are a strategic, well-connected, and charismatic leader who thrives on turning market insights into revenue. You will own the end-to-end new business pipeline, from identifying total addressable market (TAM) opportunities to crafting winning Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, delivering high-impact pitches, and closing enterprise-level deals.

## Requirements

### Outcomes to Deliver

In this role, success looks like:

- Strategic Leadership & Market Analysis: Define and execute the business development strategy for the ticketing portfolio. Analyse the addressable market to identify untapped verticals, competitive threats, and growth opportunities.
- Pipeline & Lead Management: Oversee and optimise the new business pipeline, ensuring a consistent engine of high-value leads and robust conversion tracking.
- Go-To-Market (GTM) Collateral: Architect and refine compelling GTM packs, proposals, and tender responses that articulate a powerful value proposition to prospective partners and venues.
- Pitching & Market Representation: Act as the face of the brand in-market. Lead high-stakes presentations and negotiate complex commercial contracts with senior stakeholders, venue managers, and promoters.
- Team Management & Coaching: Lead, mentor, and hold accountable a multi-brand sales and BD team across Ticketek, Memberships, and Eventfinda, fostering a high-performance, winning culture.
- Executive Reporting: Partner closely with the Managing Director of Ticketing, providing clear data-driven insights, revenue forecasts, and pipeline visibility to the executive team.

### Capabilities to Bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

- 10+ years of senior business development or commercial sales experience, ideally within the ticketing, live entertainment, sports, or SaaS/Event-Tech sectors.
- Proven track record of managing and scaling B2B sales teams across diverse product lines or brands.
- Demonstrated success in identifying, pitching, and winning multi-million dollar enterprise accounts or long-term venue agreements.
- Commercial Acumen: Exceptional negotiation skills and a deep understanding of commercial models, yield management, and ticketing economics.
- Storytelling & Presentation: Masterful ability to create and deliver GTM packs that simplify complex product ecosystems into irresistible client solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Comfortable building relationships at the C-Suite, promoter, and government/venue board levels.
- Tech-Savvy: High proficiency in CRM platforms and modern data analytics tools to track and forecast pipeline health.
