## Description

Commonwealth Dentistry is excited to welcome a new **Hygiene Assistant** to our dedicated team! In this vital role, you will assist our dental hygienists in providing top-notch care to our patients. Your contributions will help create a positive and comfortable environment for everyone who visits our practice.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Assist with dental cleanings and procedures, including polishing teeth and applying fluoride treatments
-   Prepare patients for hygiene appointments by reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs
-   Conduct dental x-rays and maintain accurate patient records
-   Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of all instruments and treatment areas
-   Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices
-   Support the front desk and other team members as needed
-   Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies
-   Perform other duties as assigned

## Requirements

**Qualifications:**

-   CPR certification (or willingness to obtain shortly after hire)
-   Experience as a Hygiene Assistant preferred but not required
-   Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-   Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
-   Attention to detail and commitment to patient care
-   Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
