We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join EDC’s Financial Crimes and Know Your Customer Technology team.

The team builds and enhances mission-critical technology capabilities that help EDC manage financial-crime, customer, counterparty, regulatory, and operational risks. Its work supports capabilities such as Know Your Customer, customer and counterparty due diligence, screening, risk assessment, case management, and related compliance processes.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will connect business subject-matter experts with technology delivery teams. You will translate business, regulatory, risk, data, and operational needs into clear requirements and fit-for-purpose delivery artifacts.

You will work in a matrixed environment with Financial Crimes and KYC specialists, product and platform teams, architecture, data, cybersecurity, and technology vendors. You will help these groups establish a shared understanding of business problems, solution outcomes, requirements, constraints, controls, and implementation priorities.

This is a senior individual-contributor role. You will be expected to lead complex analysis, facilitate decisions, challenge assumptions constructively, identify cross-functional impacts, and contribute to the continued maturation of the team’s business-analysis and delivery practices.

### **What you will be doing:**

- Lead discovery and analysis for complex initiatives, clarifying the business problem, desired outcomes, scope, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and risks.

- Elicit, analyze, validate, prioritize, and manage business, functional, non-functional, data, integration, and control requirements.

- Translate regulatory obligations, policies, risk decisions, and operational needs into business rules, workflows, requirements, acceptance criteria, and auditable outcomes.

- Document current and future-state processes, user journeys, decision logic, data needs, system interactions, and impacts to related applications and teams.

- Produce fit-for-purpose deliverables such as user stories, process models, business rules, data mappings, interface requirements, traceability records, and test scenarios.

- Facilitate workshops and decision-making with business, compliance, risk, data, architecture, security, delivery, and vendor stakeholders.

- Identify gaps and conflicts, assess options and trade-offs, and bring stakeholders to clear, documented decisions.

- Partner with product owners and delivery teams to refine and prioritize the backlog and maintain alignment with the FC/KYC platform roadmap.

- Support solution design, testing, user acceptance testing, implementation, operational readiness, and post-implementation validation.

- Provide peer review, practical guidance, and reusable approaches that improve business analysis quality and consistency across the team.

### **What we are looking for:**

- A degree or diploma in business, technology, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

- Significant progressive experience delivering business analysis for complex technology-enabled change, normally gained through seven or more years in Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or comparable roles.

- Experience in financial services, financial-crime compliance, KYC, customer or counterparty onboarding, screening, or another highly regulated environment.

- Demonstrated ability to translate business, regulatory, risk, data, security, and control needs into clear, testable requirements and delivery artifacts.

- Experience working across the solution lifecycle, from discovery and design through testing, implementation, and operational readiness, using Agile, hybrid, or similar delivery approaches.

- Strong analytical, facilitation, written communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to resolve ambiguity and conflicting requirements.

- Experience using Azure DevOps or a comparable backlog and requirements-management tool.

### **What will make you stand out:**

- Direct experience with KYC, due diligence, sanctions or watchlist screening, customer or counterparty risk rating, case management, or ongoing monitoring.

- Experience implementing configurable financial-crime, workflow, onboarding, or case-management technology, including ServiceNow Customer Service Management and screening tools such as Ripjar, Actimize, Finscan, etc.

- Experience with data mapping, data-quality rules, system interfaces, APIs, batch integrations, or vendor-product implementations.
