## Description

Do you want to play a key role in ensuring that the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s philanthropic grants and investments create real and lasting societal impact?

We are looking for a Senior Impact Manager to support the development of NNF’s mission-driven portfolio management approach.

The position is placed in the Impact Management team within the Impact & Portfolio Department. The department operates at the intersection of strategic impact and portfolio management, including data-driven insight support for NNF’s impact missions and a proactive role in supporting project excellence, portfolio development, and impact management. The organisation strives to work project-centrically, and we do the same across the department by operating as one highly collaborative team.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Impact Management Team Lead, you will govern one of the team’s three core offerings: supporting the organisation in ensuring that NNF’s missions, objectives, outcomes, and targets are robust, coherent, and validated, and that mission formation, progression, and organisational learning are systematically translated into decision support for NNF’s strategic decision bodies.

As such, you will become part of a catalytic hub function operating across organisational levels and business areas. Together with colleagues in the department, you will support leadership with data-driven insights that enable learning, prioritisation, and strategic direction-setting, grounded in best-practice approaches to results frameworks, impact management, and mission-driven philanthropy.

**Key responsibilities**

Driving our core offering around Impact Portfolio Integration support through:

- Objective, outcome, and target validation
- Consolidation and operationalisation of mission architecture for Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
- Supporting grant-making areas in prioritised strategic projects by identifying mission-supportive outcomes, contribution pathways, and impact logic aligned with mission criteria
- Supporting implementation of NNF’s strategy and mission-driven portfolio approach in close collaboration with CXO Areas and other functional areas across the organisation

Specifically, your tasks will include to:

- Facilitate identification and operationalisation of mission objectives, mission outcomes, and mission targets in close dialogue with business areas
- In collaboration with skilled colleagues, validate outcomes and targets through scenario and forecasting analyses
- Identify change enablers, contribution mechanisms, and impact pathways at both mission and project levels using our validated impact framework approach
- Ensure coherence between strategic priorities, societal impact ambitions, portfolio composition, and reporting structures
- Contribute to a more forward-looking, coherent, and transparent portfolio governance approach
- Support development of a stronger mission-driven learning and portfolio steering framework across the organisation

**About you**

We imagine that you:

- Have solid experience with project management and a thorough understanding of strategic grant making (portfolio management) acquired through impact work in complex organisations
- Take a holistic and forward-looking approach, understanding what is needed today to drive results tomorrow
- Thrive at the intersection of data, strategy and leadership dialogue
- Possess strong analytical - not necessarily technical - capabilities and are able to translate complex issues into clear decision perspectives
- Have organisational impact and can work effectively across disciplines and seniority levels
- Thrive driving projects, facilitating workshops and stakeholder management
- Are motivated by contributing to long term societal impact

**
We offer**

- A key position in one of Denmark’s largest philanthropic foundations.
- The opportunity to work close to strategic decision making and senior leadership.
- A strong and ambitious professional environment focused on learning, impact and quality.
- A role where you contribute directly to developing NNF as a mission driven, learning and impact-oriented organisation**.**
