## Description

**GENERAL DESCRIPTION – PURPOSE OF ROLE:**

General preventative maintenance, repair, rework of all machines, production equipment and building.

**Essential Functions:**

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

·         Rework and rebuild machinery and equipment in plant such as saws, cranes and welders to machinery specifications and /or best general industry repair practices.

·         Perform preventive maintenance on machinery according to machine specifications and planned plant programs.

·         Service and maintain company vehicles.

·         Follow safety lock-out/tag-out procedures in all situations of repair, rework or maintenance.

·         Perform maintenance on the building and property as necessary.

·         Report all problems and safety concerns to supervisor.

·         Supports facility housekeeping and Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and procedures through department activities.

**Qualifications and Experience:**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

·         Minimum 2-3 years mechanical experience preferred.

·         Engineering drawing reading required.

·         Valid Georgia driver’s license may be required.

## Requirements

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:**

The successful candidate should:

·         Have proficiency in basic math.

·         Be able to use hand tools, voltage meter, measuring instruments, and operate forklift and overhead cranes, lifting machines weighing up to 40 tons.

·         Communicate efficiently.

·         Be willing to learn daily and interact with a team.

·         Have the ability to work through problem solving processes and present ideas.
