## Description

### Who We Are

Founded in 2017, Unit8 is a fast-growing Swiss AI and data analytics consulting company dedicated to solving complex problems in traditional industries - automotive, chemical, financial services, manufacturing, and pharma. We work with some of the biggest organisations in Europe on challenges that directly affect their business. Since our foundation, we have successfully delivered more than 250 projects and grown to 160+ talented individuals across 8 office locations.

Our mission is to drive the adoption of AI and Data Science in non-digital industries and to help accelerate their digital transformation.

This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Controlling Manager, with no people management responsibilities. The ideal candidate brings 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in financial controlling with strong hands-on knowledge of core accounting principles and financial reporting. This role operates within a technology-forward organisation and the successful candidate is expected to actively use AI tools to improve the speed, quality, and scalability of finance processes. The position is open in Kraków, Wrocław or Warsaw.

- Produce monthly management accounts - consolidated P&L and EBITDA-2-cash reconciliations with commentary
- Support the preparation of board materials in collaboration with the Controlling Manager and CFO, ensuring financial data is accurate, consistent, and presented clearly
- Maintain financial KPI dashboards providing real-time visibility into revenue, pipeline, utilisation, headcount costs
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decisions e.g. pricing strategy, new market entry
- Support headcount planning and reporting, tracking actuals vs. budget
- Produce monthly FTE reports and analyse the financial impact of headcount movements, including joiners, leavers, promotions, and role changes
- Current cash and net debt reporting
- Support the month-end process cycle, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely close
- Participate in the group managerial consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations and accruals calculations
- Liaise with outsourced accounting providers in each country
- Review local accounting outputs before incorporation into the group close; identify and flag discrepancies for resolution

**Technology, AI & systems**

- Actively use AI tools - including Claude and OpenAI - in day-to-day finance work to automate recurring tasks, improve analytical output, and accelerate reporting cycles
- Contribute to AI adoption within the finance function

### Who You Are

- 2-4 years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or accounting roles, ideally within a multinational or technology-driven environment

- Proficiency with financial reporting tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and comfort working with ERP or consolidation systems
