## Description

We are looking for a creative **Social Media Illustrator** to support the Japan market by developing engaging character-driven illustrations and visual storytelling content for social platforms. This role focuses on creating **manga-inspired social media visuals**, including illustrated stories, characters, and comic-style content to simplify financial topics and make them more relatable for Japanese audiences.

_This is not traditional manga publishing work. We are looking for someone who can apply manga-inspired storytelling techniques to modern brand and social media communication._

## Requirements

**Responsibilities**

-   Create manga-style illustrations, character designs, comics, and visual storytelling content for social media
-   Develop creative concepts and translate marketing ideas into engaging visual assets
-   Design static social media content for platforms such as Instagram, Threads, and other relevant channels
-   Create content that reflects Japanese cultural nuances and audience preferences
-   Provide creative recommendations for social media campaigns and monthly content planning
-   Adapt global brand messaging into Japan-focused visual content
-   Collaborate with international teams to develop and refine creative concepts
-   Ensure all designs align with brand identity and communication objectives

**Requirements**

-   Professional fluency in Japanese and English (written and verbal)
-   Proven experience as a manga illustrator, digital illustrator, comic artist, or character designer
-   Strong portfolio showcasing manga-style, anime-inspired, or character-based artwork
-   Experience creating illustrations or visual content for digital platforms and social media
-   Strong understanding of Japanese visual culture, storytelling styles, and online trends
-   Ability to develop creative concepts from briefs and deliver final artwork independently
-   Comfortable collaborating with global teams and incorporating feedback
