## Description

**Purpose Of Role:**

The Head of Pricing & Margin will lead Connected Kerb's pricing, energy portfolio and power procurement strategy across the operational charging network.

Acting as the Company's subject matter expert on electricity markets, energy procurement, flexibility services and energy risk management, the role will be responsible for maximising profitability through effective tariff design, forecasting, portfolio optimisation, hedging strategies and ancillary revenue opportunities.

Working across Finance, Commercial, Marketing, Operations and Technology, the role will provide strategic expertise on pricing, procurement, market developments, energy risk and margin performance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Pricing Strategy & Margin Ownership

-   Lead the development and execution of pricing, margin and tariff strategies to deliver the Company's financial objectives.
-   Partnering with Marketing and Finance to develop tariff strategies across the charging network, considering customer demand, utilisation, competitor pricing and power market conditions.
-   Lead scenario planning, pricing strategy evaluation and sensitivity modelling to support commercial and investment decisions, drawing upon analysis and insights from Marketing, Finance and external market advisors.
-   Establish pricing governance, including review cycles, approval processes and performance monitoring.

-   Own margin reporting, forecasting and performance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to support executive and Board decision-making.

-   Collaborate with Marketing to utilise customer, utilisation and competitor insights in the development of tariff and pricing strategies, whilst retaining ownership of pricing recommendations and margin outcomes.

**Margin Growth & Optimisation**

-   Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve profitability through pricing optimisation, smart charging, operational efficiencies and commercial innovation.
-   Identify and deliver opportunities to improve margin performance beyond budget assumptions.
-   Evaluate and implement opportunities within flexibility markets, balancing services, reserve mechanisms, RTFO schemes, carbon credits and other ancillary revenue streams.
-   Monitor and optimise the commercial performance of existing customer agreements, including pricing mechanisms, rebates and profit-sharing arrangements.
-   Support customer negotiations and contract reviews by providing pricing, tariff and margin expertise.

**Power Procurement, Portfolio Management & Energy Risk**

-   Lead the development and execution of the Company's energy procurement, portfolio management and supply strategy.
-   Own the energy portfolio P&L, including procurement costs, flexibility revenues and energy margin performance.
-   Develop forecasting models covering electricity demand, charging utilisation, renewable generation and flexibility opportunities.
-   Implement hedging strategies to manage wholesale market volatility and optimise commercial returns.
-   Monitor and manage energy market exposures, balancing arrangements and associated financial risks.
-   Establish reporting and governance processes for portfolio performance, market risk, forecast accuracy and margin delivery.
-   Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, aggregators, traders, flexibility providers and other market participants.
-   Monitor regulatory and market developments, providing insight on commercial risks, opportunities and strategic implications.
-   Partner with Finance on cashflow forecasting, treasury impacts and energy cost reconciliation activities.

**Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration**

-   Act as the Company’s advisor on electricity markets, procurement, pricing and margin performance.
-   Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Technology and Finance teams to improve profitability and customer outcomes.
-   Support Board, investor and lender discussions relating to energy strategy, procurement and commercial performance.
-   Lead and manage relationship with specialist external resources, consultants and advisors.
-   Coordinate decision-making where pricing, utilisation, customer outcomes, risk management and business performance intersect.

## Requirements

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**

-   Min 5 years management experience within electricity supply, trading, aggregation, flexibility services or the wider energy sector.
-   Strong understanding of UK electricity markets, power procurement, energy supply structures and wholesale market dynamics.
-   Strong knowledge of flexibility markets, ancillary services, balancing mechanisms and regulatory frameworks.
-   Demonstrable experience designing and implementing energy procurement, trading or hedging strategies.
-   Significant experience managing energy portfolio risk, forecasting demand and analysing market exposures.
-   Proven commercial and financial acumen, including P&L ownership, margin management and business performance reporting.
-   Advanced analytical and quantitative modelling capability, including forecasting, scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis.
-   Experience leading and developing teams and managing external consultants, advisors and suppliers.
-   Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence Boards, Executive Teams and senior external partners.
-   Experience operating within a high-growth, scaling or private-equity-backed environment desirable.

-   Exposure to EV charging, infrastructure, mobility, utilities or regulated sectors would be advantageous.
