We’re in search of an experienced Corporate Law Clerk to join our team in **Brampton, CA.** The Legal Assistant will have an immediate and lasting impact on our operations, guiding us toward positive outcomes with comprehensive legal research, document creation, and database maintenance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Provide **legal advice and guidance** on corporate, contractual, and regulatory matters affecting the company.
-   Conduct **legal research** and stay updated on relevant Ontario laws and regulations.
-   Draft, review, and negotiate **agreements, contracts, and other legal documents** with high attention to detail.
-   Represent the company in **court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials** as required.
-   Ensure **regulatory compliance** with applicable laws, industry regulations, and corporate policies.
-   Work closely with various internal departments to provide **legal risk assessments** and solutions.
-   Support corporate governance, risk management, and **dispute resolution strategies**.
-   Monitor industry trends in **construction, development, logistics, and leasing** to provide informed legal insights.
-   Liaise with external counsel when necessary, ensuring effective legal representation for the company.

## Requirements

-   **LL.B. or J.D. degree** from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Ontario.
-   **15+ years of experience managing a law practice**, with a preference for candidates seeking a transition to a structured, corporate environment.
-   Strong **legal research and drafting skills**, with excellent analytical abilities.
-   Extensive knowledge of **Ontario laws and regulations**, particularly in corporate, commercial, and real estate law.
-   Experience attending **court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials**.
-   Industry knowledge in **construction, development, logistics, and leasing** is an asset.
-   Ability to **work independently** while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
-   High attention to detail and **strong problem-solving skills**.
