Job Description:

This role is based in Greece – at UPS HQs at Koropi

The Security Specialist ensures implementation of security processes and procedures across facilities. The role focuses on loss prevention, physical security, employee security issues and supporting investigations. The position also analyzes claim to identify trends and support risk mitigation initiatives.

Job Duties

Risk Assessment & Compliance

-   Identifying vulnerabilities in facilities and operations and developing appropriate mitigation plans
-   Ensure compliance with local laws, regulatory requirements and corporate security policies
-   Promote a strong safety and compliance culture across the organization

Personnel & Operations

-   Oversee security guard teams/vendors including scheduling and performance coordination
-   Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and access controls
-   Monitor adherence to security procedures for high-value shipments and sensitive operations

Audits & Investigations

-   Conduct facility, vehicle, and operational audits to ensure compliance with security standards
-   Perform driver audits to verify adherence to delivery and release procedures
-   Support incident investigations and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence

Claims Analysis & Reporting

-   Review claims data to identify trends and risk areas
-   Prepare and present monthly reports with insights and recommendations
-   Respond to stakeholder inquiries and provide data-driven explanations
-   Extract and analyze data from internal systems to produce customized reports
-   Interpret findings and provide actionable insights to improve security performance

Development of professional relationships

-   Establish and maintain relationships with law enforcement authorities in the region
-   Maintain active participation in relevant professional and security organizations
-   Collaborate with law enforcement, professional, and business groups on security-related matters relevant to the company.

Qualifications

-   Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
-   Minimum 2 years of experience in loss prevention or a similar role
-   Strong work ethic and proactive attitude
-   Self-motivated with excellent analytical and independent problem-solving skills
-   Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
-   Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
-   Knowledge of compliance & regulatory frameworks
-   Very good MS Office skills
-   Fluency in Greek and English
