### Retail Rental Technician

**Pay:** $18.00 - $22.00 per hour (Based on Experience)  
**Schedule:** Monday - Friday | 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM (45-48 hours/week)

### Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, dependable **Retail Rental Technician** with hands-on experience in the construction, landscaping, or equipment rental industry. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with heavy equipment, takes pride in maintaining quality equipment, and is looking for a long-term career opportunity. We are looking for someone who already has experience operating construction equipment and understands the importance of safety, customer service, and teamwork.

This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have prior experience working with construction or landscaping equipment. While we will train you on our inventory and equipment you are unfamiliar with, you must already possess a solid foundation in operating construction equipment and securing equipment for transport.

### What You'll Do

-   Prepare, inspect, and maintain rental equipment to ensure it is clean, safe, and ready for customer use.
-   Load and unload equipment onto trailers safely.
-   Secure equipment using chains, binders, and ratchet straps.
-   Demonstrate proper equipment operation and safety procedures to customers.
-   Perform pre-rental and post-rental inspections for damage or maintenance needs.
-   Power wash and clean equipment.
-   Keep the yard, shop, and facility clean and organized.
-   Assist customers and coworkers as needed.
-   Work safely while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.

### Equipment Experience Preferred

Experience operating or working around equipment such as:

-   Excavators
-   Skid Steers & Loaders
-   Concrete finishing equipment
-   Lawn & landscaping equipment
-   Other construction rental equipment

Previous equipment rental experience is highly preferred.

## Requirements

-   Previous experience in construction, landscaping, heavy equipment operation, or equipment rental.
-   Experience operating construction equipment is required.
-   Ability to safely load and unload equipment.
-   Must know how to properly use chains, binders, and ratchet straps to secure equipment.
-   Knowledge of truck and trailer weight classifications and safe towing practices.
-   Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
-   Ability to lift, move, and work around heavy equipment.
-   Strong customer service and communication skills.
-   Steel-toed boots required.
-   High school diploma or GED preferred.
