## Description

**Make a Real Impact as an EYFS Specialist SEN Tutor.**

  
Are you a calm and passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of adult students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We are looking for experienced tutors who **specialise in communication and sensory intervention** to join our team. You’ll provide personalised, 1:1 or small group support in Communication skills, Maths and English for SEN students. These in-person sessions in Finsbury Park offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.  

-   This job is **in-person** in the **Finsbury Park area**
-   **Day(s) and Time(s):** Monday - Friday, 11am-12.30pm
-   **Hours:** up to 7.5 hours per week
-   **Subject and Level:** EYFS Maths, English, Communication and Sensory Activities
-   **Start date:** As soon as possible
-   **Contract Length:** Indefinite
-   **Rate of Pay:** £35 p/h

**What You'll Do**

-   Develop and deliver tuition programmes in small groups or 1:1
-   Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level
-   Assessing any barriers to student’s learning and working to overcome these
-   Monitoring student progress and producing reports
-   Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
-   Facilitate sessions through sensory play therapy
-   Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
-   Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager

## Requirements

**We're looking for someone who has:**

-   **A Bachelor’s degree or Specialist SEN Training**
-   2+ years of tutoring/teaching experience with adult learners
-   Experience using a **multi-sensory teaching approach** (tactile, auditory, and adapted visual strategies)
-   **Experience working with students with communication difficulties**
-   **Experience with challenging behaviour**
-   **Knowledge of communication strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton, or similar)**
-   An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-   The right to be self employed in the UK
