## Description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled **Specialist – General Surgery** to provide comprehensive surgical care by diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with a wide range of general surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will perform elective and emergency surgical procedures, ensure exceptional patient care throughout the perioperative journey, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based clinical outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of medical practice.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic general surgical conditions.
-   Perform a broad range of elective and emergency surgical procedures, including open and laparoscopic surgeries.
-   Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative care and follow-up.
-   Evaluate diagnostic investigations and formulate individualized treatment plans.
-   Manage outpatient consultations, inpatient admissions, and emergency surgical cases.
-   Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
-   Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
-   Adhere to clinical governance, infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance protocols.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and continuing professional development activities.
-   Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical procedures, and recovery plans.

## Requirements

-   MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.

-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery (MS, DNB, Arab Board, FRCS, American Board, European Board, or equivalent).

-   Minimum **3 years of post-specialization clinical experience** in General Surgery.

-   Experience in elective and emergency general surgical procedures, including laparoscopic techniques, is preferred.

-   Valid medical registration/license from the country of practice.

-   Good standing certificate from the relevant medical licensing authority.

-   Strong clinical, surgical, and decision-making skills.

-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
