## Requirements

### Make an Impact

The Director, Internal Systems, is responsible for the successful selection, management, and operation of major company-wide systems to support the efficient operation of Serko in pursuit of its business objectives and strategic plans.   

### What you'll be doing

-   Defines and maintains a clear, long-term strategy and roadmap for all internal systems, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives and growth plans.
-   Ensures optimal performance, reliability, and security of all internal systems. 
-   Manages relationships with internal systems vendors, including contract negotiation, service level agreement (SLA) adherence, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
-   Authors and manages the budget for all internal systems, including software licenses and support contracts.
-   Ownership of ICT and team leadership of the IT team
-   Effectively executes delegated authority with other peers in the Office of the CTO.
-   Collaborates with department leads (e.g. PPC, Finance) to understand existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and leverage internal systems to streamline workflows
-   Works with Data team members and governance committees to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all internal systems
-   Partners with PPC to promote adoption of new and existing internal systems, including developing and delivering effective training programs and support resources.
-   Collaborates with Legal, Privacy and Risk teams to ensure internal systems and their usage comply with relevant regulations and policies (e.g. AI acceptable use, GDPR)
-   Partners with Product leaders and teams on cross-functional initiatives that rely on internal systems.

### What you'll bring

-   Evaluation, recommendation, and ultimately selection rights over the specific software applications, platforms, and tools that comprise the company's internal systems technology stack.
-   Ownership and decision rights on the architectural design, configuration, and integration of all internal systems
-   Prioritisation rights on internal systems projects, enhancements, and support tasks based on strategic alignment, business impact, and available resources.
-   Establishment and enforcement policies, procedures, and best practices for the use, maintenance, and security of all internal systems.
-   Authority over the hiring, performance management, and career development of the internal systems team.
