We are looking for an experienced Construction Foreman / Skilled Carpenter to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who is confident working independently, leading others when required, and taking a residential construction project from start to finish.

### What You'll Do

-   Lead and participate in the construction and installation of sunrooms, decks, patio covers, railings, awnings, and other outdoor living projects.
-   Complete framing, carpentry, installation, finishing, and general construction work.
-   Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, measurements, and project specifications.
-   Lay out projects accurately and ensure work is completed according to plans.
-   Safely and confidently operate hand and power tools.
-   Coordinate daily job-site activities and keep projects moving efficiently.
-   Provide direction and support to other crew members when working in a lead capacity.
-   Ensure workmanship meets Niagara Sun & Shade's quality standards.
-   Identify job-site challenges and determine practical solutions.
-   Monitor materials and communicate material or equipment requirements.
-   Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
-   Follow company procedures and applicable health and safety requirements.
-   Communicate professionally with homeowners, suppliers, subcontractors, and other team members.
-   Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of your work, solving problems as they arise, and maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship. You understand that when working at a customer's home, professionalism, cleanliness, communication, and attention to detail are just as important as construction ability.

## Requirements

-   5+ years of carpentry or residential construction experience.

-   Previous foreman, lead hand, or crew leadership experience is an asset.
-   Experience with outdoor residential construction projects such as sunrooms, decks, patio covers, railings, awnings, or additions.
-   Experience with construction finishing work.
-   Ability to read construction drawings and work from plans.
-   Comfortable calculating measurements, angles, elevations, and material requirements.
-   Strong knowledge of hand and power tools.

## Benefits

-   Wage $35-$40/hour
-   40-50 hours per week
