## Description

### Job Summary:

The _**Machine Operator Lead**_ is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of production machines, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met. This role involves supervising a team of machine operators, troubleshooting equipment issues, and providing training and guidance to ensure smooth and effective production processes. T_**he Machine Operator Lead**_ plays a key role in tracking machine performance, coordinating with vendors for parts and repairs, and reporting on overall production efficiency. _**Working closely with the Production Value Stream Manager**_, this position ensures all safety, quality, and production goals are achieved while maintaining adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.  
  

### Supervisory Responsibilities:

-   Oversee all processes and personnel operating machines.
-   Provide coaching and corrective actions to employees who fail to meet quotas.
-   Audit and report underperformance to the supervisor.
-   Train all new hires within the assigned production area.
-   Communicate effectively with the supervisor to ensure that all production elements are running smoothly, including meeting goals, performance, quality, equipment, materials, and staff.

### Duties/Responsibilities:

-   Track and report on the efficiency (OEE) of all machines.
-   Troubleshoot and repair machines that are malfunctioning or down.
-   Contact vendors and order parts for production machines, as needed.
-   Wear appropriate PPE and follow proper uniform requirements.
-   Follow GMPs, sanitation, and safety procedures.
-   Adhere to break schedules and report any policy violations to the supervisor or manager.
-   Ensure that all direct reports meet the required quality standards.
-   Input data into spreadsheets daily for tracking and reporting purposes.
-   Perform other duties as assigned.

### Experience:

-   2+ years of experience working with machines in a production environment.
-   2+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role is preferred.

Salary: $24per hr

## Requirements

### Physical Requirements:

-   Must be physically capable of standing or sitting for long periods.
-   Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted.

### Required Skills/Abilities:

-   Must be at least 21 years old, as required by state law.
-   Proficiency in MS Excel for daily data entry and reporting.
-   Ability to lead a team of up to 30 people.
-   Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management.
-   Ability to de-escalate situations quickly and effectively.
