## Description

### About Parallelz

Parallelz is building a new way for mobile apps and games to reach users. Our platform turns native mobile apps into fully native web experiences in real time, with no SDK, no code changes, and no engineering lift from the developer.

We are based in Toronto and backed by Global Founders Capital, Play Ventures, Maple VC, Two Small Fish Ventures, Weekend Fund and Garage VC amongst others.

### About the Role

This role sits at the centre of the business and spans the functions that set our direction: corporate strategy, finance and planning, business operations, corporate development, and go-to-market. In a single quarter that might mean owning the operating model, running a pricing analysis, sizing a new market, preparing the board package, and driving a diligence work stream.

What separates it from a traditional strategy and operations seat is how the work gets done. This is an AI-native role by design. The models, agents and automated workflows behind planning, reporting and analysis are yours to build, deploy and maintain, and the systems you put in place become how the rest of the company operates.

You will have direct line of sight to the executive team and to the decisions that shape the company, along with real latitude to decide where your time creates the most value.

This is a Hybrid role based in Toronto (Harbourfront Centre), with regular in-person time alongside the team.

### What You'll Do

- **Partner directly with the executive team** to translate strategy into operating plans, tracking execution across functions and unblocking what slows us down. Where a priority has no natural owner, you pick it up and carry it to a decision.
- **Own the strategy and the analysis behind our hardest questions,** from market entry and pricing through to unit economics, headcount planning and capital allocation. Frame the problem, build the model, and bring a recommendation with a number behind it.
- **Own business operations across the company.** Design and run the processes, systems and reporting that connect product, go-to-market, engineering and internal operations, including the vendor and partner relationships that support them, and strengthen that foundation as the business scales.
- **Define where AI belongs in how the business runs.** Map how work actually gets done today across product, go-to-market, finance and operations, and separate the places where AI creates real leverage from the places where it is only novelty.
- **Lead adoption across the organization.** Partner with function leads to redesign how work is structured rather than layering new tools onto existing processes, and manage the transition so that changes are embedded and sustained. Success here is measured by adoption and outcome, not by what was deployed.
- **Support corporate development and fundraising,** including investor materials, diligence, market and competitive research, and target evaluation.

## Requirements

### Must-Haves

- 3 to 7 years in strategy and operations, business operations, chief of staff, corporate finance, or another broad cross-functional role. Backgrounds we see this working well from include management consulting, investment banking, private equity or venture, large technology companies, and high-growth startups.
- Advanced, hands-on AI fluency. You understand how these systems work under the hood and use AI extensively in your own work, automating workstreams and running persistent agents in place of manual processes. You are current by default: when something meaningful ships, you have usually already tried it.
- Quantitative depth. You are comfortable in a model and with a blank spreadsheet, and you can move between a P&L, a cohort curve and a pricing scenario without friction.
- First-principles thinking. You take a problem apart from scratch rather than pattern-matching to the last place you worked.
- Writing that moves decisions. You can turn a messy situation into a clear one-pager that gets a call made.
- Comfort with breadth. You are energised by variety, and by not knowing exactly what you will own next quarter.
- Ownership instinct. You move without waiting to be told, and you close loops.

### Nice-to-Haves

- Consumer technology, mobile, ad tech, platforms, gaming or interactive entertainment experience.
- Corporate development, M&A, venture investing, or fundraising exposure.
- Zero-to-one experience taking something of your own from idea to launch, whether that was a company, a product, or a venture you started on the side.

## Benefits

- Group Retirement Savings Plan matching and participation

- Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision), including Health and Wellness spending account
- Generous time off policies
- Access to leading AI tools and platforms

_Parallelz is committed to building an inclusive team and welcomes applications from candidates of all backgrounds. Accommodations are available at any stage of the hiring process on request._
