# Senior Solution Architect - (Digital Products & Security) **Company:** [GSSTech Group](http://jobs.workable.com/companies/cu9XaZB8i9r9X8CdwN62f7.md) **Location:** Dubai, United Arab Emirates **Workplace:** on site [Apply for this job](http://jobs.workable.com/view/b3402ad2-2d77-4636-aa02-6029dc4fffa2) ## Description We are looking for an experienced **Senior Solution Architect** with strong expertise across **solution architecture, application architecture, cloud-native technologies, and security architecture** to support large-scale Digital Products and Digital Onboarding initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in designing secure, resilient, scalable, and high-performance solutions across **web applications, mobile applications, microservices, APIs, cloud platforms, containers, event-driven architectures, and enterprise ecosystems**. The role requires a strong balance of **customer experience, business requirements, performance, reliability, resiliency, and security**, along with the ability to work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, engineering teams, information security teams, and other architecture functions. ## Requirements ### Key Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and enforce **architecture standards, guidelines, patterns, and best practices**. - Design and deliver **end-to-end solution architectures** based on requirements from product owners and business stakeholders. - Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and resilient architecture solutions. - Design architectures for **web applications, mobile applications, microservices, APIs, and their associated technology ecosystems**. - Ensure application designs follow established engineering best practices, architectural patterns, user journeys, and UX requirements. - Design solutions that balance **user experience, business requirements, performance, scalability, reliability, resiliency, availability, and security**. - Develop end-to-end design patterns and reusable architecture blueprints/reference architectures. - Design and oversee integration of applications with surrounding enterprise ecosystems, including **mobile applications, microservices, APIs, event streams, message brokers, containers, and cloud-native technologies**. - Collaborate with Information Security teams to ensure the **confidentiality, integrity, and availability** of enterprise data and technology assets. - Ensure solution designs comply with applicable security standards, architecture principles, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. - Contribute to building **reliable, resilient, secure, and scalable platforms**. - Deliver complete and self-sufficient architecture solutions and design documents within agreed timelines. - Identify opportunities to improve architecture and solution design workflows through **automation and process optimization**. - Conduct architecture peer reviews and ensure proposed solutions align with established standards and reference architectures. - Deliver architecture education and knowledge-sharing workshops to architects and technology teams. - Coach and mentor associate and junior architects. - Work autonomously on complex architecture decisions while seeking alignment from relevant stakeholders where required. - Continuously develop technical and professional capabilities, with a particular focus on **Security Architecture**. ### Required Technical & Architecture Skills ### Solution & Application Architecture - Strong overall knowledge of **software engineering and solution architecture**. - Minimum **5+ years of experience designing applications**, including web and mobile applications. - Minimum **5+ years of experience designing microservices and APIs**. - Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns including: - Microservices - API architecture - Application architecture - Mobile application architecture - Event-driven architecture - Distributed systems - Experience designing complete end-to-end solutions across complex enterprise ecosystems. - Strong understanding of application integration patterns and enterprise technology ecosystems. ### Cloud & Cloud-Native Architecture - Minimum **5+ years of experience working with cloud-native technologies**. - Strong hands-on architectural understanding of: - Containers - Kubernetes - OpenShift - Service Mesh - Virtualization - Experience with cloud platforms such as: - OpenShift - Microsoft Azure - AWS - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) - Ability to design secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud-native solutions. ### Security Architecture - Minimum **3+ years of experience in Cyber Security / Information Security**. - Strong understanding of **Security Architecture** principles. - Deep understanding of: - Authentication - Authorization - Encryption - Logging & Monitoring - Application Security - OWASP Top 10 - Infrastructure Security - Cloud Security - Security regulations and compliance - Experience collaborating with Information Security teams to embed security into solution architecture and application design. - Ability to balance security requirements with business functionality, customer experience, performance, and delivery objectives. ### Integration & Enterprise Ecosystem Strong experience integrating applications with enterprise technologies including: - Mobile applications - Microservices - REST/API ecosystems - Event streams - Message brokers - Containers - Cloud-native platforms - Distributed services ### Architecture Tools & Platforms - Experience with enterprise architecture tools such as **Enterprise Architect**. - Experience with **data modeling tools**. - Practical experience working with enterprise architecture standards, blueprints, reusable patterns, and reference architectures. ### Behavioral & Leadership Competencies The successful candidate should demonstrate: - Continuous improvement of architecture standards, patterns, and best practices. - Ongoing development toward **Security Architecture mastery**. ### Preferred Experience - Experience within **banking, financial services, or other highly regulated enterprise environments**. - Experience with large-scale digital transformation programmes. - Experience working on **Digital Products and Digital Onboarding** platforms. - Experience working with complex enterprise application ecosystems. - Experience with cloud-native modernization and distributed architectures. - Experience working closely with Cyber Security / Information Security teams.
