## Description

-   Prepare metal, machinery, equipment, and other industrial surfaces for painting.
-   Clean, degrease, sand, blast, and mask surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
-   Mix paints, coatings, primers, and thinners according to manufacturer specifications.
-   Apply primers, paints, protective coatings, and finishes using spray guns and other application equipment.
-   Operate and maintain spray-painting equipment, compressors, and related tools.
-   Apply coatings to the required thickness, colour, and finish.
-   Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as runs, sags, uneven coverage, or imperfections and carry out necessary corrections.
-   Follow technical specifications, coating procedures, and quality standards.
-   Carry out touch-ups and rework where required.
-   Maintain spray booths, equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
-   Follow COSHH/chemical-handling procedures and all workplace health and safety requirements.
-   Use appropriate PPE, including respiratory protection where required.

## Requirements

-   Proven experience as an **Industrial Spray Painter** or similar role.
-   Experience spraying industrial machinery, steelwork, plant, vehicles, or fabricated components.
-   Good knowledge of primers, paints, coatings, thinners, and surface preparation techniques.
-   Competent in using spray guns and other painting equipment.
-   Ability to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes.
-   Good understanding of paint mixing ratios and coating application methods.
-   Experience with two-pack (2K), epoxy, polyurethane, or other industrial coatings is an advantage.
-   Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
-   Physically fit and comfortable working in industrial environments and at heights where required.
-   Relevant painting/coating qualification or certification is an advantage.
-   Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-   Strong awareness of workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
