**Position Overview**

We are looking for a motivated **CAD Designer** to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will work alongside project managers, machinists, and machine builders to create detailed manufacturing drawings and 3D models for custom automation equipment and tooling.

The ideal candidate enjoys problem solving, has strong attention to detail, and is interested in seeing projects through from concept to completed machine.

**Starting Range:** $27–$30/hour, based on experience and qualifications.

## Requirements

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using AutoDesk Fusion 360.
-   Produce accurate fabrication, machining, weldment, and assembly drawings.
-   Assist with the design and development of custom automation equipment and production tooling.
-   Develop bills of materials (BOMs) and maintain engineering documentation.
-   Revise existing designs based on customer feedback or production improvements.
-   Work closely with project managers, machinists, electricians, and assembly technicians to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
-   Participate in machine design reviews and problem-solving discussions.
-   Maintain organized engineering files and documentation.
-   Follow company drafting standards and quality procedures.

**Qualifications**

-   Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or a related field is preferred.
-   Experience with Fusion 360, solid works or similar 3D CAD software.
-   Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes.
-   Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
-   Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
-   Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
-   Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
-   Experience in custom machinery, automation, or manufacturing is considered a strong asset.
