## Description

Zaber Technologies is looking to hire an additional member of its Purchasing Team. On a daily basis you will collaborate with teams and suppliers to save money, build relationships, negotiate deals, and solve challenges.

The Purchasing Team procures everything from office supplies to specialized mechanical and electrical components and assemblies. We make sure our colleagues have the parts they need to do their jobs, and leverage our skills to do so as quickly, reliably, and cost-effectively as possible.

Through your role as Purchaser, you will advance this goal by ensuring our components remain well-priced, of high quality, and readily available.

### As a Purchaser, you will:

-   Use our custom, in-house, systems to monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage deliveries.
-   Collaborate with colleagues across the company to improve our processes and software tools.
-   Coordinate with other Operations teams to ensure customer orders can be fulfilled, solve discrepancies, and resolve quality issues.
-   Work with Engineering colleagues to obtain quotations from suppliers, and help guide sustainable and scalable sourcing solutions.
-   Build strong relationships with vendors, with a focus on communication and collaboration to find opportunities for better pricing and performance.

### You’re the ideal Purchaser if you:

-   Have a keen eye for detail and curiosity for how things work. You identify when something seems out of place and try to figure out why to come up with a solution.
-   Have strong communication skills and enjoy building relationships and collaborating with others to solve complex problems.
-   Have an interest in procurement and inventory planning and are motivated to find ways to ensure parts availability while saving money.
-   Have an aptitude for understanding and using ERP Systems to determine optimal stocking strategies and perform root cause analysis of stockouts.

**The following experience would be considered an asset:**

-   Experience or education as a Buyer/Purchaser
-   SQL and/or Python programming for data analysis
-   In depth knowledge of one or more component groups (motors and actuators, electronics, CNC machining, etc.) 

### Purchaser Details

-   The starting wage for the role is $29 - $45 depending on experience
-   Type: Full-time, Permanent
