## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Gastrointestinal and Endocrine Surgeon – Specialist / Consultant** to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders and work closely with a multidisciplinary medical team.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Assess, diagnose, and manage patients requiring gastrointestinal and endocrine surgical treatment.
-   Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures within the scope of expertise.
-   Manage conditions involving the **esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands**.
-   Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and develop appropriate surgical treatment plans.
-   Provide post-operative care and monitor patients for complications and recovery.
-   Perform and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations to support surgical decision-making.
-   Collaborate with gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
-   Maintain accurate patient records and comprehensive clinical documentation.
-   Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, treatment options, risks, and post-operative care.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and professional development activities.
-   Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical practice in accordance with hospital policies and guidelines.

## Requirements

-   MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **General Surgery with specialization in Gastrointestinal and Endocrine Surgery** or an equivalent specialty.
-   Relevant post-specialization clinical experience as a **Specialist / Consultant Gastrointestinal and Endocrine Surgeon**.
-   Strong experience in gastrointestinal and endocrine surgical procedures.
-   Experience managing complex surgical cases involving the **esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands**.
-   Experience in both elective and emergency surgical care.
-   Strong skills in pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative patient management.
-   **UK CCT, American Board, Australian Board, Canadian, or equivalent Western qualifications** are preferred.
-   Excellent clinical, surgical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-   Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
