We are looking for a **Medical Assistant/Receptionist** who is passionate about building connections, supporting clinical excellence, and enhancing the overall patient experience in a **primary care setting**. 

Overview:  
As a **Medical Assistant** with Hometown Primary Care, you’ll be a vital member of our care team — supporting physicians and providers with clinical and administrative responsibilities that ensure smooth, efficient visits and a positive experience for every patient. Your role will help foster trust, continuity, and preventive care success for patients throughout their primary care journey with us.

Duties:

-   Welcomes patients and visitors into our Care Centers with compassion and provide exceptional customer service.
-   Register patients by obtaining demographic, insurance, and payment information.
-   Handle payments for services, including applicable co-pays.
-   Answer multi-line phone system
-   Daily reconciliation of monies collected
-   Cleans and stocks the site with other members of the team.
-   Take patient histories and accurately document vital signs
-   Perform point-of-care testing: strep, mono, glucose, urinalysis, pregnancy, etc.
-   Conduct phlebotomy and prepare samples for lab processing
-   Administer immunizations and injections per provider orders
-   Assist with routine exams and procedures (i.e., EKGs, ear/eye irrigations, pelvic exams)
-   Educate patients on medication, preventive care, and follow-up instructions
-   Handle patient callbacks, pharmacy coordination, and referral scheduling
-   Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and patient-ready
-   Support front-desk duties, including check-in, insurance verification, and payment collection
-   Participate in training and onboarding of new team members

## Requirements

-   1–2 years of experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinical setting preferred
-   Strong E-Clinical Works Experience Preferred
-   Passion for primary care or Internal Medicine
-   Self-starter with excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
-   CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
-   Flexibility to travel within region as needed
